I liked the idea of Spider-Man having a villain by the moniker of Tarantula. I never understood why we haven't gotten a permanent third Tarantula by now for Spidey, or someone. Update the look of the costume and give him some powers.

His best appearance was in the "I Am Legend" storyline in Twisted Toyfare Theatre where he gets away from the invading Marvel Legends figures using his "pointy choos".

So yeah, he's friggin' awesome.

Also his alternate universe offspring was kinda into Mayday Parker.

Glen? What an asshat. But... He's a pro asshat. Good foil, and perhaps he could be given some more depth in the hands of a modern writer. I actually DON'T know exactly what's become of him. Is he dead? Get resurrected? Retired? I mean, Thunderbolt Ross got to come back a few times AND now get super powers. Hell, that actually would have been better, TALBOT should have been Rulk. That would have been a twist. I forget if Peter David ever featured Talbot in his run. He may have been long out of the picture by then though.

I dislike the show but Pasdar on AoS is a pretty good modern live action version of Talbot.

Talbot was good for a while, it wasn't until he and Betty completed their divorce procedures that he returned to his old Ditko days asshat status.

Oh, right. I forgot he actually did marry Betty, then she divorced him when he attacked Banner with, I want to say a sub-atomic gun or something... Anyway, he then gets killed a bit before David took over the book. He died using a special suit or tank or something. AND THAT is why it would have been a true mind screw to have Talbot be the RULK. They've kept him dead so long, no one would have seen it coming. If I were to bring him back I would totally go the route of him having a point about how messed up Bruce Banner is. Don't make it he disdains Bruce JUST because of Betty being in love with him. That's part of it. Make that Talbot sincerely believes that Bruce is a frakking psycho that is a real danger to Betty (and he has been, if you think about it) and the rest of the world.

Ha. Who would have ever guessed I had strong feelings about Glenn Talbot.

PS, I kinda dug him as the *****e on the OLD INCREDIBLE HULK cartoon that was paired up with SPIDER-MAN AND HIS AMAZING FRIENDS. He was good for a laugh. (As was Rick Jones' cowboy outfit and mullet on that toon. )

Yeah Talbot is a total *****e nozzle and yeah i agree I probably might ve liked that RED HULK piece of %^& if it had been him instead of Ross like Krypton said. it should have being Ross playing his mind games on Talbot turning him into that RED HULK piece of %^&* ( heh i like saying that!)Talbot sucks Gamma rays big time!! Man!that dude is not just one, he's the complete TOOLBOX!

I remember seeing those mini strips in the back of comics a while back about all the diff color Hulks. I didn't care for it.

They were a fine addition as little one page bonuses and the like. I could never care enough to buy an actual book with just strips of them, nor did I care for Marvel to give us 2+ pages of Mini Marvels inside their other comics just to shoot the price of the comic by a buck and a half more.

yep my sentiments exactly on that book!

and Gargoyle was ok.He was allright in the defenders. he was a Nightcrawler-holy roller guy before Nightcrawler got that way and had to stop shagging his sistert:...only Nightcrawler did it better cause Nightcrawler is cooler that way!
but i like those "dont judge a book by its cover" kinda guys so he's okay.
