This was my first exposure to the Hulk, who is currently one of my favorite all tine characters, and one if the very first superheroes I was ever exposed to.

Millar was going for a take that was almost parody with Ultimate Cap... And it just falls flat for me.

uh yeah.. i read Captain America! i know Captain America! This Mother^&*()^&*() is NO CAPTAIN AMERICA!!
The only and i mean only thing that was cool was dude's outfit!( i will admit the buccaneer boots on the original was a bit passe!) so while the wings as part of the mask was cool, anything else was not! Hell! all those Ultimate guys were losers as far as I'm concerned.

and on a side note about that "losers" comment . i love how MARVEL spent years trying to redeem Hank Pym from that domestic abuse thing he did ,just for Millar to come right back and have ultimate Hank Pym punch Janet in the kisser again!
There's no escape from that for that dude!

I like ultimate cap a lot in volumes 1 and 2. All the ultimates stuff after that was terrible.
He's got more of a John Wayne attitude than classic cap. Prime example being when he hears about Hank hitting Janet then quietly steps out, tracks him down, and beats the Crap out of him. Seems more true to that generation to me

Ultimate Cap... What an *******. He's like the old jackass grandpa that is always yelling at everyone below 50 and complaining about how back in his day everything was better because the president was honest, taxes were fair, kids respected their elders, people knew who the 'right' God was and this 'racism' thing never existed.

You can deal with him for a while but once you have enough you just can't take his BS anymore. You don't want to make him cry by making him face up to the fact that his golden days were BS but you just want to smack him. His only redeeming feature is that he stood up and beat the **** out of Hank after he nearly killed Jan. If they had MU Cap meet Ult Cap, they'd get along for a little while then Ult Cap would spout some of that nonsense and MU Cap would try to explain things calmly then have to beat the **** out of him once Ult Cap tried to attack him for trying to prove that he was wrong.

Has an uncle in Madripoor, yet another drug lord in that country.

Madripoor needs some attention in the Marvel U. from some heavy hitting heroes.

eh..she's alright. she was just "there' in new mutants. never did anything for me so she's just okay....and what the hell happened to her leg!? since when did she turn into Forge!

Like most of the X-Men (and assorted X-teams out there) she has a crazy complicated backstory. Her family was attacked by pirates, parents died, she got her powers and so did her brother, she killed him once he went evil and her younger siblings got kidnapped repeatedly. Her uncle is a drug lord in Madripoor she went to live in when her siblings were kidnapped (again), she got possessed by the Shadow King and became Blob sized obese, lost the weight and Farouk, found the siblings who got aged up and kidnapped by Mojo, became a lesbian and lost her leg to Cameron Hodge (The same jackass who cut off Angels wings). All in all kind of a **** life. Her power is like telepathy but less useful.
