I dig Silver and yeah like wolfie mention her series in the 90's was cool!
what i really dug was she was the only one smart enough to take some of these bad guys and was all "Look! you aint getting paid for none of the stuff you do! so if you join me i will give you a regular paycheck from now on!" like sandman!
which he did, which made a hell lot more sense than fighting Spider man! i freaking dug that! its a shame that is was one of the few books in the 90's that was good and didn't last!i dug the whole female james bond she had going on.

If there's anyone in her way that she'd prefer not to fight she'd see if they could come to an agreement, if not then she'd kick ass. Heck, she offered to hire Spider-Man for his help and he turned her down multiple times because he's an idiot 'selfless'. She said she'd be willing to pay him several thousand dollars for a few days work with something he'd already be looking into and if he was willing to leave the country to work with her, then a steady paycheck hitting probably in the six figures for someone with his abilities, experience and background. Peter is an idiot who needs therapy.

I love that she got the Sandman to reform by hiring him. He's crazy powerful, she deals with a lot of places where someone who can turn into sand, shapeshift and use his powers in a large variety of ways and he really never wanted to be a supervillain in the past few years before that. I'd love for them to have her hire someone like Rhino or Shocker. Someone who had some interesting stories and could be a definite asset if given the proper motivation.

Total agreement Kev. She could be an interesting force in the MU simply by being someone that says, "I can put these guys to use who are doing nothing with their lives but throwing away the potential they have." Sort of a private sector THUNDERBOLTS without all the "Sons of Nazis calling the shots" stuff... Hmm... That could be a cool villain for her to face. Zemo vs. Sable?

I don't know if her Hyborean Age stuff is still in continuity, but Selene is a villain with enormous power and great potential. She has always seemed an odd fit for the Mutant books. If anything she should be tangling with Thor level or Avengers type characters and teams. She would be an awesome addition to a new Masters of Evil. I would love to see her lock horns with Enchantress too. That could be fun. If like, the two had been rivals in some way over the centuries. The Nova Roma stuff is... Yeah, it seemed odd to me, but it's been re-re-retconned at this point. All in all... Lots to like, but few definitive stories. (I actually like the MARVEL COMICS PRESENTS short story where Selene comes across the Gray Hulk. Short and sweet.)

The X-Men fought every kind of villain, from average Mutants to Mutants with too much power to magic villains to aliens, I'm willing to give Selene a pass as an X-Men villain.

Not a fan probably because she came right on the heels of what was that chick's name "the Goblin queen" in Mutant X! jean grey's supposedly convoluted clone . i forget her name anyways who i thought was better. she kinda reminded me of her and the white queen only with a black outfit( Man those dudes in the hellfire club must throw some great parties and all that legacy virus stuff made my head hurt!

So the characters can speak in Slott speak, talking like its 90s exposition, the Avengers can behave like rookies who don't remember they've been heroes for years, and during the fights, the Avengers are trying to out-funny each other and the villains are busy playing Angry Birds and making pop culture references instead of taking the situation at hand seriously, all the while Ramos is on board with the art and every goddamn body looks like apes because that guy can't draw?! Why?! Whyyy??!!!

I like Selene. I haven't read a lot of her besides the Necrosha stuff and the trilogy novels Legacy Quest where she was a complete badass and kicked the X-Mens ass all over the place. She's been around forever, knows a crapton of magic, eats people and if she had been part of the Hellfire club when Wyngarde had started to turn her into Dark Phoenix then I'm pretty sure that she would have taken over the universe by now.
