if i was spidey i would have sued his ass for slander and libel.. how are you going to use the media to perpetuate your own agenda. you cant do that...oh wait i forgot! there's FOX news! hehe
as a foil to Spidey he's great ,but he still sucks!

JOHN- is the MAN!!! FREAKIN DUG MAN-WOLF( what?! i like Werewolves!) and i dug him when he was head of the Quinjets for the Avengers and was like best buddy to Cap! that dude is COOL... his relatives not so much!

John is great, too. I love the old ManWolf stories, I just wish they would use him more nowadays, he seems to have fallen off the face of the Earth.

I haven't read about Jonah's dad so no opinion there.

JJJ? What a great supporting character! Seriously... Making a regular occurring character whose main mission is to libel the hero through the media but NOT be a super villain (Scorpion and Spider Slayers excepted, of course) in secret? Brilliant. It gives this challenge that essentially the hero, Spidey, CAN'T ever really overcome. Plus, it adds to Spidey's every man aspect. We all have worked for bosses that were A-1 asshats.

As for John... Can't say I liked Man-Wolf too much, but I did like them integrating him into the world of Cap and The Avengers. I kinda wish that had stuck. If he was like the permanent Avengers pilot or something, who knows where that could have gone?

Ugh, it was 4am when I wrote that.

Anywho let's try that properly this time.

John - I like him. They need him for more stuff, even if it's just to turn into manwolf and smash stuff. How many things has he been in that he gets changed into stuff anyway? There was the 'space spores' and man wolf but I think there was more.

Jay - Eh. Just another Ben in waiting. Maybe May will take up a costume next.

JJJ - Love the character behind the character but hate the guy himself. Love how they made him stand behind his principles with his paper, his word of honor to his friends and employees (except for paying them it seems) and how he is utterly dedicated to the truth (except when it comes to Spider-Man and other superheroes) and if you try to intimidate him into backing off a story almost all the time he basically says "**** you. I'm doing it anyway". Hate how he is basically an ******* in every single other respect. He's a hypocrite that has made several supervillains, caused the death of several people due to that and has gotten away with it because Peter won't expose him for doing that.

JJJ is a *****enozzle but it's best when they present him as a *****enozzle with some kind of principles. He's so frustrating in a great way I think. He's a very human character, even with the broadness that comes with him. He presents that paradox. Yes he may not be a totally nice guy but he's also got ideals and principles that are very admirable, even if he always expresses himself in a way that 99.9% of all people think makes him an asshat. When you are young it's easy to see people like that in real life as "evil" or "wrong" but as you get older you see much more nuance as you mature. I may not agree with JJJ but when he's written well, I can see his point on things.

But on Jameson...I like my characters to eventually...evolve. Like, the fact that 616 Jonah has NOT changed in 60+ years is...ugghhh...I like his Ultimate (and more believable) Universe counterpart.

The original one is a ham fisted attempt at cashing in on the trend of skateboarding in youth culture. His outfit is lame as hell and his characterization is flat to me.
