He was okay. What's he up to these days? Dead? Evil? Suddenly gay?

Nothing much he's been in the current Fantastic Four run by James Robinson trying to help Johny get his **** together after loosing his powers. Also he was in Fraction's FF trying to get with Shulkie again but they decided it would be better for them to stay friends.

FREDZILLA

No idea who Fredzilla is but I love that picture.

Blackheart - I like the guy despite not reading much with him. Ignoring the Ghost Rider movie (which is for the best really) the only things I've read him in are Daredevil when he was going on another walkabout because he ****ed up his life again, a few other things like an appearance in the Legacy Quest novels and that one shot with Wolverine, Punisher and Ghost Rider which was pretty damn good. Those three stories are among my favorite from Marvel and he just happens to be part of it.

The whole 'Son of the Devil' is kind of overdone but since he doesn't show up that much he's not too bad and makes enough of a surprise appearance because he's not used that much. I still find it funny he was shacking up in the Hellfire Club with Selene.

I liked him in his first appearance in Daredevil (which had an almost gothic novel feel to it). It's weird to think of him as an Ann Nocenti Daredevil character since he's such a high concept fantasy character that he fits better with Ghost Rider. Still, his scenes in Daredevil with Mephisto work well as a sort of learning son that doesn't always agree with his manipulative father.

Speaking of the Ghost Rider movie.
Q: What's in common between director Mark Steven Johnston and Blackheart?
A: From Daredevil to Ghost Rider.

not a big fan of Blackheart. i read him in Midnight sons( I dont even count the GHOST RIDER one at all !i am blocking all that ^&*from my mind!)He sorted just seemed lackluster to me of course by then too ,i knew about all the other offsprings that Satan had and wasnt feeling him. it felt like it had been done to death. so eh

Just how many sons does the Devil have in the Marvel universe?

Ou of all of them, I've always considered Blackheart a lesser one. They've never really done much with him.

I'd recommend reading the Daredevil issues (270, 278-282) with him and the one-shot Hearts of Darkness that had Wolverine, Punisher and Ghost Rider. They're well done and should help ease the pain of a certain movie. :woot:

His origin in 270 is just a cool little story, very different from most comic stories. He also comes off as a child learning things for the first time. That makes him stand out from a lot of other characters.

I like his pirate costume better.

An extremely contrived character that lowers my esteem for Ka-Zar. He actually manages to be less threatening after he gets his super-weapon.

He apparently was one of those executed by Punisher in Civil War? When I read that, I didn't grasp the significance of who he was, but still, meh.

Well, if he was one of the guys that Punisher killed in Civil War, I have to give him props for being part of one of the best moments in that story.

I never understood the motivation for some of these guys to put on a costume. They have the resources, name and group already but all of a sudden they need a costume to look 'intimidating' or 'cool' and they look like idiots.

Parnival was no exception and all anyone remembers of them, if they do, was Ka-Zars brother and that he died to the Punisher just like tons of other people.

I think the purpose of the costume is to look terrifying.
And ignore that it's a large bullseye mark.

He looks like he stole that from a dumpster behind a costume shop.

Looks like he took leftovers from tattered cape of Dr. Doom and outfit of Tiger Shark

Oh, the irony

Didn't he immediately come back as the new Black Racer after he died?

I liked him. He was funny as hell.

The GLA need to make a comeback, GLA dissasembled was one of the funniest comics i read.
