I really like his older stuff. He was similar to what he is now, less crazy but far more tragic. He had some amazing development, great stories and was just a great character. They changed him in the last few years to be totally bonkers and not as interesting as he used to be.

Love Deadpool. Have read most of Cable & Deadpool and have been working my way through Kelly's original run recently. They're always good for a laugh. I don't mind the completely bonkers, but it is better when they have the character development (see Kelly's run).

The recent Good, The Bad and The Ugly storyline was very good, reminded me of Joe Kelly's stuff. Pretty much every thing else is garbage though save a few small runs by the likes of Gail Simone.

Wasn't the Daniel Way run selling around 60k copies a month? And he's just had his own video game made. This is the peak of Deadpool, which isn't necessarily a good thing.

Cap is the man. I much MUCH prefer the newer take on his costume (the wings off the side were always really stupid to me). I didn't actually like his movie though. I have higher hopes for the sequel based on the great trailers.
I love how he's always a moral pillar no matter what and that he never gives up.
I even like the Ultimate take on him. His more aggressive attitude reminds me of my dad and his generation. Loved the scene where he beats down Giant Man for being abusive to Wasp.

Just all kinds of awesome.

After Byrne, Cap become just another war dog, The knight part dilutes in every new view...

I must say that being an immigrant, flagpole characters really lost their meaning altogether, i agree with Fresco in what concerns patriotism.

Cap's a legend. Man Out Of Time is still one of my favorites. To me, he has one of the best origin stories.

At this point I'm just reiterating what's already been said. Cap is Cap. He's one of a kind and the man every hero in the Marvel universe looks up to. Also the one they always want on their side and a real commander. A living legend.

He's the go to guy for everything in the MU. He has most of the connections to get anything needed and can call on backup from everyone, good, bad or merc just by asking. He's warbuddies with various gods and god level superhumans and the most respected guy in the MU. He calls, everyone jumps. I'm not that crazy about him as a character but just the way they've portrayed him over the years is impressive. He's as good as Batman and respected as Superman. I'm not crazy about his soldier outfit but it's more practical than his winghead one. I liked his movie the best out of all the pre-avengers ones.

America's most valiant of sons. The one guy with the least impressive abilities, yet when the end of the Universe is at hand, you kind of expect him to be right in the middle of it all, trying to save things or at least go down fighting. If he's led to a fight and the duel is due, then the red and the white and the blue will come through.
