State Your Opinion on a Character!!!! (Reboot)

At the time Cap's identity was out. There was a time when he kept the whole Steve Rogers thing a secret. So, he had to keep it out of the public eye, lest, you know, the Red Skull makes a bowl out of her skull or something.

Oh, so it was tied into that run where he took off the mask on national tv when he killed that terrorist? I forget the artist/writer team. Damn. It was really good art. One of the issues has that scene where a soldier salutes Cap on his way out of a meeting with Fury and Cap says "No need to salute me. You know I'm not an officer anymore" or something, and the soldier goes "We all know who you are sir." It also has Fury talking about how if they ever nuked the East Coast the only thing to survive would be "The cockroaches, that shield and Cap."

Yeah, that was the Cassiday run. Forgot who wrote it but he was on art....with his slow ass. :o

Alias happend just after it and Bendis uncharacteristically used continuity in a story.

Love Rogue, one of my favorite X-men. I have not, however, read her stint on X-men: Legacy. After which apparently everyone hates her now.

Overrated mutant & very misrepresented in the X-Men films. :down

Like Avalanche, my favorite version of her is the X-Men Evolution
Unlike Avalanche, I like her comic version

I'm not sure what to make of her now. I liked her more when she only had the Ms. Marvel power set.

I like her. They used her to show that powers aren't always a good thing and managed to keep it a good part of her character for pretty much her entire history without it getting too stale.

Also, Isn't she dead?

I've always liked Rogue and really liked what Carey was doing with her in Legacy. What I dislike is the constant need to hook her up with someone... specifically Gambit and specifically Magneto. I'm not as big a fan of what Remender's done with her though.

And I LOVE Jessica Jones. Fantastic character with a fantastic backstory. Yeah, she's shoehorned in like the Sentry (to a MUCH smaller degree) but that doesn't bother me. Both of their reasons for not being seen until they debuted made sense on panel.

She likes it in the back door.:o

Why is this always assumed? Everyone always says this but the comic did not. Yeah, you kinda get the impression that it might have been from behind, but not specifically... but most men I know prefer vaginal from behind. Being that he impregnated her, I think that's a safer bet that anal.

Because, you know, debating cartoon sex is something I'm into apparently.

I have never understood Rogue's appeal. Never. But I will say that I prefer short haired, butch looking Rogue over Dolly Parton's twin Rogue any day of the week. Seriously though... Rogue, if you are getting antsy about not touching dudes (or gals, whatever) just slap on one of those convienient "mutant power dampners" bad guys always seem to have laying around when the story demands it but everyone forgets about after for some reason.

Ugh, one of the main reasons why the X-Men suck.

Awesome when she was the sassy optimist who managed to have fun around her debilitating power; utterly f***ing horrible now that she's an angst-ridden, b****y mouthpiece for the entire mutant race's anger. I was so glad to see her die in Uncanny Avengers, even though I know she'll be back in no time.

She was "killed" in Uncanny Avengers along with Wanda, Wolverine, Wonder Man and Cap. They'll all be back by the story's end.
I hate Wanda, but darn, I can feel no joy in her demise
Wolverine dies? That's hilarious
Between Wonder Man and Cap, who died more?

i have a love-hate thing going on for Rogue! i love her powers, loved she body slammed that sentinel on the 90's Xmen cartoon intro and love that she is one of the few heroes who legitimately has something to gripe about having powers!(imagine not being able to get any nookie) MAN!I WOULD BE JOINING A BUNCH OF EVIL MOFOS TOO!!I WOULD BE PISSED! :cwink:
but cause of her my comic book continuity was lost!
when girl 1st appeared she was a middle aged, wrinkle, white sideburned storm-trooper for the evil Brotherhood THAN ALLLLLLLLL OF A SUDDEN she was a hot ass 20 something year old with no damn reason! give me something... clone, regenerative tissue, alien probe anything but Noooooo! Marvel change her into a hot youngster only cause it was cool and i went "what is this ^&*?!?! every since then my innocence was lost and now I'm with continuity " oh well.. its a comic book! so any ^&* can happen!"
so I like her but with a footnote!
kinda like i love her wearing tight green latex but dont cover that $%^ up with a leather Coat! come on!

When she was the teen aged new Xkid, she was great. Now...needs to die.

Nailed it.
