State Your Opinion on A Character

He's a ghost. You gotta pretty much wear whatever you died in. Dems the rules. :o

Oh, another thing: why the hell did his pasty white mask become his friggin' face when he died?

Pretty much what Corp said earlier, but I'll add that I like how his personality meshes with the other character's he's ikely to deal with and isn't too "same-y" and abbrasive.

She's very pretty :O

And I love Donna's costume as well. It's sparkly and beautiful and sexy and I dig how she was written in Titans and Wonder Woman. Its just her origin that bugs me

But I love her personality and her heroism. I really hope she hasn't been erased from the DCU

Have you read any of Rucka's Wonder Woman stories those are really good

I agree on all Donna points :)

Funny you mention Rucka's WW. Those are actually the only WW comics I own, and I bought them because I love Rucka's writing. But other than that run, I have no real interest in her. I'm reading the current one because I'm curious, not because I care.

He can actually take off his non-existant ghost mask. He just doesn't do it very often because it raises too many questions as to how ghosts wearing clothes works.

Deadman is awesome. Love the original stuff, him in brightest day was Blah.

I hope you enjoy it twylight though it almost certainly wont be as good as Rucka's run simply because it isn't by Rucka

Well, that's it for Deadman.....still don't get it. :o
heh, uroboros.

Blue Beetle
Jamie Reyes

Loved him for a long time. He had a fantastic series that was hilarious and fun and had some heart. Then the main writer of his series quit and his series got a little less appealing. Then his series got canceled. Then he joined the Titans and kind of sucked. Then they restarted his series to retread the old series but made some meh-tastic changes. And now I don't give a s***.

Still getting into his first series. I did get his new comics, but I haven't read it yet. So far I like him.

Have to say I think he sucks! I gave his series a try after Ted Korda bit it and maybe cause I was never a blue and gold team member!Jamie never grew on me! Probably cause of Ted and their nonsense lead me to that conclusion but BB sucks to me!

Yeah, I gave Jaime's book a shot. Twice. Didn't care for it. I'm just indifferent to him.

Liked Ted though. Not that it has anything to do with me not really caring for Jaime or anything.

Well, if you're going to give him another try, please don't go by the current series. It's like a terrible Bizarro version of his earlier comic. Paco's now a gangbanger dropout and everyone speaks Spanglish.

Son of a *****! I liked Paco the way he was.

It's like they looked at what Marvel did with Falcon and needed to turn a good minority character into a stereotype.

Why would you reboot a series that's barely five years old, and yet leave a 72 year old franchise like Batman untouched?

I have liked Jaime Reyes, his origin is interesting and I like that they took the scarab and made it extraterrestial and sentient. I think he is an interesting twist on the legacy as well as the fact that he is from El Paso, which is where i live.

Money. Batman's comics always sell pretty well, so why fix what ain't broken? Blue Beetle, on the other hand, had mid-level sales before they tapered down to cancellation territory after Rogers left. DC's still interested in beefing up its diversity and they've apparently latched onto Jaime as one of the poster children for that initiative, so they're retooling everything to give him another chance. It's actually kind of nice, except for the fact that this second chance is almost identical to his first chance, and what few changes they have made suck.

I just started on the second TPB of Jaime's series. Liking it so far. I think I like him best on Batman: The Brave and the Bold, though.
