Eh. Hal is Hal, not much else can be said. I prefer the alien Green Lanterns.

My favourite image of Hal Jordan in recent years, since th Johns retcon... it may not be in continuity, but I don't care:

DAMN you and your lemonade!

Loved him in Green Lantern: Rebirth, but outside that storyline I have no use for any of the GLs honestly.

Didn't end up watching the movie due to the resounding "meh"s I heard from everyone who had.

I dig the Green Lantern mythology but i just cannot stand how Johns writes Hal ;_;

Kilowog! :atp:

Hal is awesome. A two fisted fighter jock that will bang your Aunt if you're not careful. What's not to like?

:hal: :hal: :hal:

And there's nothing wrong with that. To each their own. I just found it funny that you asked "what's not to like?" after summing up why I don't like him.

Heh. That's what's great about taste. Polarizing opinions that can't be explained away. For instance, I like Gilmore Girls and I'm not afraid to say it.

Oh crap I hit reply.

:doom: :doom: :doom:

Dont be ashamed I like Gilmore Girls too

Those two are adorable :hrt:

I never ended up reading All-Star B&R past like issue 2 because I hated it that fast even though my brother still was buying it. Curious though because I laughed about this moment when he told me about it but I am curious: in this "Earth" did Miller establish that the Yellow weakness was an absolute thing again or was it solely on the reasoning that Hal is still a newbie?

Hal Jordon Baby ROCKS!!!! my Favorite GL! The best and yeah i said it! cause they all say it! "he is the best one of us!" one of the greatest designs in the history of comic- dom. took out the whole damn Corps by himself. and i agree with question.Alot of people were super -pissed when he destroyed the Corp. but i understood! Dude lost everything and everyone! so yeah! somebody could snap and go all "Parallax" on your ass! if you have never read Green Lantern and Green Arrow when they traveled across county together by Dennis O'neil . you haven't read some freaking great ass comics! I understood Bruce Timm needed to add some "flavor" to the Justice league cartoon and included John Stewart, but I was mad Cause Hal Jordan can bang your aunt and make a giant green hand all at the same time ( ...uh i aint going to go there)..HAL ROCKS!!

I like Hal, and like him as Green Lantern, but I prefer Kyle. As for the whole aunt bangin business, I think he would be the type of guy to have a chat with you after and you some how end up thanking him.

Power Girl is my favorite Kryptonian, though I never had enough nudge to check out her recent series. Will have to see if it's in trade and how many issues and such. Her design is really awesome too because she is related to Supes--Earth 2 but still a Supes--but doesn't have anything that reflects their look.

Mine too, SUpergirl was always a bit boring and flat as a character, Powergirl has personality, and she doesn't play second fiddle to anyone.

I don't think he really expanded on the reason.

That's it for Hal Jordan.

More like Hal Boredan. :o
See what I did there? Huh?
......I don't have to impress you! :argh:

The Joker

I love the Golden Age Joker, that is to say the Joker of the announcing his victims then killing them, physical challenge for Batman Joker. The later versions I can give or take; the 70's and early 80's Joker based in the GA original is fun and still menacing. The animated series Joker voiced by Mark Hamill is by far the funniest.

I did come close to disliking Mr. J over the Barbara Gordon crippling and possible rape and the Jason Todd murder, but it's not the character's fault that he was used to demean characters that DC was using for their publicity stunt crap storylines.

He's not my favorite comics villain-that would be Dr. Doom, but he has to be top 3 at least in any list of the greatest supervillains of all time. Joker, Luthor, Doom, all have to be in there somewhere IMO.

You just missed Doom in the Marvel version of this thread.

one of my top villains of all time! cause he's real!... NO!! COME ON! there aint some dude falling into a vat of green acid with a red hood on somewhere and waking up with chalky white skin,:woot:... but there are fools in this world who just do crazy ass &^%$ just for the thrills and giggles of it... and they are scary as hell! Cause you cant stop em, you cant find em and just like dude's many trips to Arkham you cant rehabilitate em! Alot of people dont dig it, even Alan Moore( i have no earthy reason why only that he needs to stop all that Boo Hoo whoa is me stuff!) but my boy moved up the ladder with me and hit his crescendo in "The Killing Joke!" Cause this world is one big one, only why arent you aren't laughing! see this one time at band camp... hahahaha JOKER and his FISH ROCKS!

I like Joker a lot, but I think his status as the popular one means that he's in the most danger of being overused and needlessly elevated above Batman's other villains, which is a concern I've had with the Arkham Asylum/City storylines (although maybe Hugo Strange can diffuse that somewhat in the latter case).

Some of my favorite moments for the Joker are his interactions with Lex Luthor. Just like watching Superman and Batman play off each other, various Joker and Lex exchanges are pure gold.

The Joker is one of those villains I personally like more then their hero. Love the guy.

Adore the Joker. The comics cartoon and Heath Ledger versions of the character all get the  from me but I think the cartoon version is my favourite. Mark Hamil is fab in the role and any episode with him in it makes me giggle

Loved the Laughing Fish episode best of all :woot:

And I loved him in the Arkham Asylum game as well cannot wait for the sequel this year
