State Your Opinion on A Character

Especially since it'd make more sense if it were Tim. And if Kid Flash were Bart. And if they weren't the black ops arm of the Justice League. And if the show didn't suck.

I like the show. But yea those changes would be good. And if Miss Martian didn't have TK.

Sorry Kitsune!

'Lick the boots of Justice' is the catch phrase of Kitsune's fabulous original character Mistress America the patriotic dominatrix everyone

She's :awesome: sauce

Actually I really didn't mind that much. I think I've got a new drawing project... Mistress America vs the Baroness

We still on Batman?

Man how I love some Batman. Here you have a guy that's so caught up in his work that he no longer his former identity. Bruce Wayne only exists because people would start asking questions. Bruce Wayne is so dedicated to his life as Batman that his real name and occupation are only needed to keep his activities as Batman going.

As for Batman I love that he's what happens when a human is pushes himself as hard as he can. That's why I never cared for Batman running around with super powered beings in the JLA. What the hell can he do that others can't? It makes it look silly when there is this idea that he is on their level physically. If he were running around in an Iron Man type suit I could understand, but with the JLA he's boring and ridiculous. When he is in the shadows scaring the hell out of criminals and being Sam Fisher to the 10th power he really shines to me. Batman should be like what ninjas wish they could be. The more mysterious the better with him. That all gets taken away when he's chilling with a bunch of brightly colored gods out in space.

I don't see how they could put a couple of kids into a dangerous Superhuman prison. That's just irresponsible.
I could actually buy everything up until that episode in regards to them being the League's blackops team. Batman trained Robin, so I can believe he has enough confidence in him to be a part of that team, and Bruce is probably pretty confident that his fellow heroes have trained their respective sidekicks well enough too (whether any of the kids other than Robin and Aqualad put that training to proper use is another question, but whatever, I'll run with it).

They do establish that the JLA is fighting the large scale world shattering threats in the background while the kids theoretically just handle the small stuff with minimal danger. The scripts constantly go out of their way to have Batman or whoever say "This is just a recon mission. Scout out the situation and report back," or whatever. And for plot convenience, they always need more information before they can report back, so they have to investigate further, or they're roped into the action before they can call in the League. Sure, it's contrived and formulaic storytelling, but I can roll with it as a concept. No biggie.

There's a lot that I'm willing to let slide, and ideally I wouldn't have to, but I want to enjoy the show.

And then they were sent undercover into a prison.

Why put Superboy and Miss Martian on that mission? Why them specifically? It's not even that they couldn't do the job, but the fact that there are other, more experienced heroes who could've done it better. Where are the League's shapeshifters and illusionists who'd be more suited to this mission? Why the urgency to send in the kids? And why are child criminals being sent to a major supervillain prison in the first place? And WTF was Riddler doing there instead of Arkham?! The man has no powers and is about as criminally insane as you can get, short of being the Joker.

Man, that episode was really just pushing my buttons with my already strained relationship with the show. Why aren't I watching Gargoyles or The Spectacular Spider-Man instead? :csad:

Because they got ****ing cancelled for ******** reasons and you're hoping that eventually you'll see a little more of Weisman's magic shine through.

This is basically the Jersey Girl to Weisman's Kevin Smith. It's not that bad, but it's kind of boring and a little stupid and you wonder why you're taking the time and effort to watch it.

As for the prison episiode itself, I can kind of buy the idea that since Superboy is close in age to the male Terror Twin he'd be a good candidate and you might as well send in M'gann because they know each other and work well together.

... but then you realize that J'onn and M'gann would have made a lot more sense as the duo going in because they can both perfectly mimick the twins and they also have a strong working relationship.

I would've just sent Plastic Man alone and split him in two. Epicness would ensue.

Well, that's it for the Bat. So interesting that we spent two hours talking about how much Young Justice Sucks. :o

"Why must I chase the Cat...."

I loves her with so much love

She's a great clever kick ass heroine or anti hero and she's fun and sexy too. Loved Brubaker's stories and I'm digging Winnick so far

She was pretty fun in Gotham City Sirens too and I'm looking forward to seeing Hathaway play her in the movie

Agreed!

It's biggest crime for me is the kids' being deputized by the Justice League as a black ops squad. I know they're not technically assassinating anyone or doing anything too heinous, but it's just such a stupid concept that f***ing Batman would trust anyone else to do highly important stealth work, let alone a bunch of teenagers. I cringe every time I see them switch to their boring black stealth costumes, too. Young Justice is supposed to be about the next generation of bright, fun superheroes coming of age, not a squad of superpowered quasi-spies with mostly obnoxious personalities, boring, awkward romances amongst themselves, and terrible catchphrases. It's basically a disappointment on every level for me.

What I dont like is the way Miss Martian clings to Superboy seemingly just for his looks

Until Bereft he was horrible to her. He's surly, mean and always so angry toward everyone. But he looks good without a shirt so she's all 'GIVE ME YOUR SUPER LOVIN' NOM NOM NOM'

And I loves Miss Martian like a little sister :csad:

Also why do the two girls on the team instantly have to start fighting over the hot guy

And Red Arrow is a ****

Bah. I don't hate the show but i don't:hrt: it as much as i want to. The recent episodes have been better but its still got problems

sucks! other than wearing latex andleather with a whip( uh uh! Black Vulcan aint doing nooooo whips!) I have never found any of her stories appealing. even when she was a strung out ex- hooker! She always to me has been to quell those rumors about Batman and robin. "Hey!lets throw in this babe!" Boo!i also hate that dude comes down hard on everybody else, but let chickie just scurries off cause he has some kinda bat pole for her!

..... oH AND FREAKING "GARGOYLES" ROCKED!!!... but that's a whole other state your opinion thing!

I like her in some stories and not in others.

I like the idea of her more than I like most of her arcs.

Personally, unlike Batman where I can appreciate practically all major iterations of the character, the only version of Catwoman I've ever really liked to any degree has been her more modern variation. Just a cat burglar who took the name a little too seriously, has an weird on-off/adversarial-love interest relationship with Batman (what was seen in The Long Halloween, her character arc in Hush, that kind of thing), and often has her own unrelated stories. Mostly, just the Tim Sale/Jeph Loeb and Darwyn Cooke stuff, with another creative team occasionally thrown in, but you get the basics.

I liked Catwoman, but I can't really get into the character anymore knowing she abandoned her kid to basically traipse around without responsibility again.

Catwoman getting no love :o

Oh my gosh that story sucked

So much :csad:

Is it even still in continuity?

Also, I'd prefer she got back to stealing.
