State Your Opinion on a Marvel Character - Part 1

I like him as the quintessential everyman who gets to hang out with superheroes. He's every fan's wish fulfillment. Which, ironically, is kind of why I hate him as A-Bomb. He lacks that everyman appeal now that he's a giant, Hulk-esque blue monster.

Agreed....my favorite comic with him in it was Peter David's Captain Marvel run. Him and Genis together was pretty awesome.

I prefer Ice Man when he looks like that above than his later, more modern appearances where he looks like he has hair or wears a blue costume etc. I prefer the block of ice look that he had for Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends or the classic X-men/ Champions stories.

Never liked his rather ordinary look in the X-Men movies, which was probably a budgetary thing (or they couldn't figure out the special effects).

I like Iceman, it's nice to have one mutant they haven't turned into a big downer. Not a fan of him being omega level though. Being able to reform himself and all that is too much. he's better as a simpler character.

Not as much as Nightcrawler or some of the other X-folk, but he's alright in my book. I also like his extended power level; I ain't got no problem with it and since he's been around for like, forever, it kinda makes sense..to me at least. I also liked his appearance as shown in the opening post too...

The most underused guy in all of comics. Aaron seems like he wants to do big things with him in WATXM.

He's cool (hehe) it's a shame they split the X-Men 'cos I always liked his interaction with Cyke and Beast best. No real opinion on power level, when you bear in mind what his actual mutant ability is it does make sense though that he could/should be omega.

Hes a 9 on the rocktor scale and yeah just like was mentioned i dig the block head version over the spiked hair or that stupid Hipster hat rag thing best( hehe thats why i chose it) Like Spider said his appearance on SMAHAF was awesome. as i kid i use to act like i was forming an ice slide and skate on it on the sidewalk( gimme a break i was a kid.. hmmno wonder i could never get a girl in elementary school. the other guys were acting like *Fonzie and i was acting like Iceman ). Loved dude in X3 as the guy who really didnt want to fight, but when it came time to "put up or shut up" he did! Hes cool like slim said!

This was really my main exposure to Iceman. Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends was my favorite show when I was a kid back in the day. It's what got me into Spider-Man and then shortly followed into comic books. However, never really got me into the X-Men books.

Iceman's awesome. Always liked Bobby Drake. No real opinion on the power level. Pretty underused recently.

Iceman's cool. I love that he's the class clown, yet he grows up to be an accountant. I also love that his being an accountant is actually coming in handy for the Jean Grey School now, and he's generally being given a position of much more authority and responsibility. Seeing him as the perpetual slacker for like 20 years while all of the other original X-Men were growing and evolving in various ways was kind of irritating.

Iceman's problem is he's too powerful. At his level he alone should easily school any of the X-Men opponents except the phoenix single handedly. Him being beaten ever just seems wrong. They wrote themselves into the corner when they started popping up with their omega mutants.
