State Your Opinion on a Marvel Character - Part 1

Great team, I miss the work done with zemo's turn to redemption.
This. A lot.

Although the T-bolts are still doing well for themselves. I like that the injection of new blood from the B-squad has resulted in some of the Thunderbolts splintering off and returning to the criminal life.

The T-Bolts have been awesome in any incarnation. When the book first came out I thought for sure it would be cancelled once Heroes Reborn ended. Instead they lived on with Hawkeye as their leader.

Which TBolts? I liked them all except for the Dark Reign-era Black Op team. When Osborn's 1st team gets promoted to Dark Avengers and then he brings in O'Grady and Mr. X and Ghost. I never read that run.

So anyway, my favorite TBs.

Songbird
Baron Zemo
Atlas
Mach V+
Gargan Venom when Warren Ellis was on the title, cause he actually made an attempt at giving the character depth...then again it was HIM that started the tradition of writing him as a skyscrapper-tall monster that eats people...so I'll say no.
Moonstone

I loved norman as their leader during Ellis' run, that was the best, scariest, craziest, most nazi crucifyingest version of osborn ever. Bendis fails miserably trying to recreate that level of cool ellis gave him.

Which TBolts?

not since " Luke ... I am your father!" was i like Holeeeeeeeeeeee *&^%$# no! they didnt!( props to Marvel for keeping the lid on that!) This was a awesome book with well are they going to stay good or plant that knife in hawkeye's back. I love the sucide squad angle( only i think Dc did it best) but after that their book turn to Boo**&^ A 9 for blowin my mind on the rocktor scale!

Yeah, that was a great twist and reveal, like a reverse secret suicide squad.

The original T-bolts were great. I like that they're still involved to a large extent. I wish Atlas could've come back instead of being used by Bendis as another crazy, sad whiner who believes the Avengers are worse than the threats they fight.

I honestly forgot about Fixer. I guess that line-up is just my favorite.

next is a big radioactive looking iguana!( No! not the one that destroys Japan all the time) but Emil Blonsky! you know looking at his old pics with the cute little blue shorts on, Dude wasnt that evil. if he was truly evil he would've been going around nekked ,showing chicks why he's called ..

THE ABOMINATION

You forgot about Fixer? You're obviously not reading Thunderbolts now. :nono:

I haven't been reading TBolts since Warren Ellis left. Last story I read was wehn Bullseye and Venom tried to kill Songbird, but she escaped.

He's awesome in Superhero Squad show, other than that all that keeps him memorable in mainstream is murdering (causing her to faint near death :cmad:) Betty

Never read Thunderbolts but like lots of other stuff they're on my list. I love the tagline - Justice... Like Lightning!

Abomination is pretty cool, I like him portrayed a little more evil and monstrous than the sort of sad fish head guy from a few 80's comics I have. There's a great pic from Bruce Jones run on Hulk where Abomb is looming over this farmer he's just snuck up on somehow. Pretty scary. Wish the movie version had retained some of the classic look.

I am really digging the Parker run on Thunderbolts right now. That was my intro to them, and eventually I plan on going back and reading the whole series when I get a chance. I'm not feeling the time travel right now though.

Abomination is a good villain. I loved the story of him teaching those kids in a library during Jenkins' run. It showed a good deal of character for him. I have no idea why they went with the zombie dinosaur look for the movie. That looked really terrible. It's not like the reptilian look is a bad look anyway.

This guy!!! This guy is who should be part of "the offenders" and not that stupid red hulk! I dig the real ABomb! And like you guys said the original fish head version is the best.comics are ful of scary crap( that's why civilians who don't read em piss me off with that "they're for kids "nonsense( man! those EC comics were no joke!!!) Seeing the Abomb was scary as a kid but then not! That's brilliant!plus he was the smart"Hulk" to the child like one for years( till professor hulk showed up ) so dude lost that job!Abombs a 6 on the rocktor!

Abomination is cool but the fact that hulk actually beats a highly trained soldier with powers that rival his is complete bull. Fighting ability rarely counts in the MU unless you don't have super strength apparently.

Hulk keeps getting stronger and stronger as the fight goes on, whereas Abomb stays the same. I would think that would outperform military hand to hand training pretty quickly.

And I would think a trained soldier vs a freaking scientist that can't fight at all would end in about eight seconds before he could just keep getting stronger and stronger. Pressure points, holds, weapons training and strategic thinking should ko the hulk out right and before he can use one of his trade mark fighting techniques like clapping his hands together or stomping his feet (seriously the hulk fights exactly the same way a 3 year old throwing a tantrum acts).

The only real fights I agree with between them were the first ones where abomination basically beat the hulk to death each time.

yes let's beat the hero to death in the first issue in the name of almighty 'realism'. sounds like an exciting run of comics, sure to sell millions of copies and become a massive hit. :o

Actually it was. It's much more exciting when a hero has a villain that can beat him to death and has to sacrifice and fight against the odds over someone that just always wins cause he's the strongest. It's the difference between a hero and a bully.

Back then hulk was (legitimately) outclassed and outgunned but he fought anyway cause abomination was evil and when he won it actually meant something. Hulk was ready (back then at least) to die to protect others and he got the beating to prove it. So yeah, it actually was much more exciting.

Also you're assumption is Banner is in control. no reason whatsoever Hulk would 'fight like a scientist' otherwise. let's see your military guy throw a wristlock on an angry bear. wonder how well that'll work out

But I can see your one of those who's pining away for his missing childhood so I won't argue with you any further.

No, hulk fights worse than a scientist, he has no fighting ability, no training, no mind really. He's a angry child and fights like one.

I was more thinking if you can knock someone out with better moves before you let them sit around getting angrier and angrier then you win. Hulk wouldn't last long enough to get angry. You don't get angry as you're getting punched in the face, you get angry afterwards but only if you're still conscious. I'm guessing you've never actually boxed before or have done anything approaching hand to hand combat? A trained soldier vs a stronger but angrier child? The child loses every time.

Pinning away? That comic was written decades before I was born, little miss. I just like heroes in hero comics. You like bullies and that's a choice. Not one I respect but a choice none the less.
