yeah the nightshift was the team he created to %^&*% other villians stuff up with.he appeared in spider woman quite a few times before getting powers and having his own mini series.He can create this blacky black darkness that no one can see out of or light can penetrate

He's more of Green Hornet ripoff than anything else.

The Shroud...yeah, I dunno. Okay idea...okay presentation...so I guess that means he's okay. I never quite got the 'bad-ass' vibe from him, but he wasn't the worst thing I've ever read...

Wear his boxers( not his! him printed on.. you know what i mean)! Dress up like em!( that’s why I have to keep at the gym! so when some clown asks who you suppose to be! JACK OF HEARTS

I absolutely love jack!! I don’t care who digs him or not or if he is dead! What does death mean in comics anyway??? Absolutely nothing! He’s just waiting for someone who loves him and knows how to use him. From the beginning I looooove the card motif. I think his design is rad. Love the “zero-fluid” cursing through his veins ( forget that alien hybrid crap) and talk about being pissed off. I understand when you have to spend 15 hours in isolation a day from not exploding!( that would piss me off too!) there’s no pretension to him. "What you see is what you get baby!" I looove that!! Like he told Ant-Man in his final appearance in avengers “I wear my heart on his sleeve.” You know if he hates you or loves you. He also told him ‘I have had to work my butt off while they just let you walk in!” that dude has never got any respect but has work his ass off! that’s the way it will always be with jack. I knew he wouldn’t get his chance on stage, but for me he deserves it! I will always dig Jack!

I always liked Jack of Hearts. His death was pretty noble. His resurrection just to kill Ant Man was some boos**t however.

i agree on both accounts.bringing him back for that was total *&^%$# and how he died i also agree" if you have to go ...take someone with you."hehe.. but it was a bad guy so he deserved it!

I remember Jack of Hearts from these old Marvel Fun & Games puzzle magazines. That's where I first encountered him before I read any storyline with him.

Jack of Hearts always struck me as a weird mish-mash of stuff. The zero fluid origin is cool, but what does that have to do with the playing card motif? Strange. But he was generally pretty cool in what I read, so I'm okay with him. Not particularly itching to see him return from the grave, but I certainly wouldn't mind it.

Jack's Father who was the scientist that created the 0-fluid also had a gambling problem. so when the mobsters came looking for their bread( like someone on a scientist salary) couldn't pay his debts, so they killed him to death!The card motif is a honor to his dad who like alot of people i see here like chicks, drinks and cards!

Jack is a good character and a fine example of how modern writers lack imagination and so kill off characters that they cannot do anything with.

He's got a butt awful costume but I dig his sciency/alien origin and power-wise he's pretty cool. I think I read that issue where he explodes but the only comic I own with him is MTU #134

iirc it goes into his origin and he escapes from SHIELD or some **** with Spidey's help., I haven't read it in prolly 20 years.
