Plot Summary: The follow-up to the smash hit "Step Up," which ignited theaters in August 2006. When rebellious street dancer Andie (Briana Evigan) lands at the elite Maryland School of the Arts, she finds herself fighting to fit in while also trying to hold onto her old life. When she joins forces with the school's hottest dancer Chase (Robert Hoffman) to form a crew of classmate outcasts to compete in Baltimore's underground dance battle The Streets, she ultimately finds a way to live her dream while building a bridge between her two separate worlds. Featuring the directorial debut of award-winning up-and-comer Jon M. Chu, "Step Up 2 the Streets" reunites much of the production team behind the original film including "Step Up's" cutting-edge hip-hop choreographer Jamal Sims, who is joined this time by choreographers Hi-Hat ("hip-hop's high diva of dance") and Dave Scott ("Stomp the Yard"). Patrick Wachsberger & Erik Feig of Summit Entertainment produce with Adam Shankman and Jennifer Gibgot of Offspring Entertainment.

Oh, when people burned them down in ANGER???

I'm all for some good hip hop dancing, some good music and a light free, happy movie, but Step Up was about as energetic and innovative as fresh rocks from the beach. An illusion of novelty, but really... we've seen it all before.

And is it just me or do movies about Hip Hop devoid of black people seem... uncredible somehow?

Earlier this year I received free passes to see 'Way Of The Peaceful Warrior'. I should have known better than to accept them, let alone go. Especially sober. All the same, I am curious to find a "feel good" movie that can possibly be worse than that one. Will Step Up 2 live up to the challenge?

Wow. She is on fire! I can't wait to see some serious dance displays when this comes out. You're barking up the wrong tree if you're hating this movie just to be snarky. if you respect amazing dancing, then you will like this movie. Its impossible not to. Plus Cassie is supposed to be awesome as well. I 'm fired up for this, you can't deny its appeal.

This looks to be an incredible movie. I will see it at least 5 times in the theater. I will start camping out tonight in front of the theatre because I know the line will be so long on opening day. This better win a minimum of 8 oscars or there will be hell to pay.
