I think Jessica Chastain is the obvious actress for Bev and she would be stellar for the role, I wouldn’t mind seeing someone else in the part. Here are my picks for the adult roles.

She is a great actress, she has name recognition, she is the right age for the part, she has worked with the director before and she also happens to look very much like how to the character is described in the novel.

That said, I really wouldn't mind seeing another actress tackle the role, if we happen to get Part 2 green lighted.

I saw a comment to Barb Muschietti, Andy's sister and a producer on the film on Instagram. Jessica was suggested for Bev, which she thought was a great idea.

It wouldn't shock me if she ended up in the part. Then again, who knows as part 1 needs to be a hit for part 2 to be green lit.

If rumors are correct, production for the second film will start before the first film releases. That is if the studio is confident enough about, having seen the film, they should be.

He shot down the rumor of it starting this month at the time only additional reshoots were to commence, there's still a possibility of production happening during the summer. The cinemarunner article aside, which i don't think can be trusted.

Yeah, I'm not so sure either. The trailer being released in the next few weeks seems likely, though.

Stoll wouldn't make for a great Bill. Bill becomes overweight in the books, and has a old-man look to him I imagined that Stoll doesn't. Galecki as Stan, hell no. Speedman doesn't remind me of Ben, but I've seen none of his work, so he could be good. Haas would make for a good Eddie, and I've wanted Hader for a good while as Richie haha.

What, playing Richie? Ehh. It'd be a fun little wink to have him in the movie, but he looks nothing like what anyone would imagine an older version of the kid from Stranger Things would look like.

Bill Hader for Richie!

Yes! He's so Richie that it's crazy. Jessica Chastain is fancast for pretty much every red haired female character in existence, but I actually like the idea of her as Bev. She has the beauty, the fire and the slightly hard edge that is required for the character.
