We do? We got the Wonder Woman trailer, people liked it, it didn't shake the Earth to its core. Baby Driver is hardly a huge thing. Atomic Blonde isn't big, either. Seems like a good time to get some IT hype going.

We're getting a Wonder Woman (WB), Coco and Despicable Me 3 trailers this week. Baby Driver and Atomic Blonde? Both of those movies are premiering at SXSW. There's buzz.

Last week it was Fast 8 and Geostorm (WB).

Week before it was Alien, GOTG and POTC.

Too much is going on right now.

The IT teaser premiered at SXSW as well. Throw it online. I doubt there's much cross-over between Despicable Me 3 and IT. We're in the age of year-round blockbusters. You can wait for a quiet moment until the cows come home.

Yo, you're arguing for no reason. Late summer or fall horror movies get this treatment and they are hyped, and make a lot of money.

Annabelle teaser - with 'Sex Tape', July 18-20 weekend, 2014
Annabelle main trailer - with "If I Stay", August 22-24 weekend, 2014

They drop them when the weekend is weak and there's no big budget movie trailers

What did they say about Skarsgård as Pennywise?

They can't wait for people to see him in the film! I don't want to spoil too much for myself so I refuse to ask any questions lol.

That's great to hear! I've talked to various people who have attended the test screenings for the film, and they said he was a highlight. Based on what minor spoilers I've heard, It could elevate the horror genre.

This comes out, what? September?

I'd say six months away is a good time to cut the preamble and just drop that thing on Twitter already.

I think Skarsgård has the chance to even scarier than Curry. I love his Pennywise, but he felt less scary as the mini series went on. Not his fault, as he did what he could. He still creeps me out in the opening scene and Georgie's death.

Curry still creeps me out. Knowing he is the way he is while watching the first parts sends shivers down my spine.

Yeah, there's really no point in waiting anymore. This has been due for a teaser of some sort for quite some time.

What didn't people like about the film?

The main complaints I took were that some moments from the book weren't in the film. A few people also complained about the 80's setting, but most didn't seem to mind it. For the most part, things were pretty positive!

I can PM what else I have learned about the film. Don't worry, nothing major! It's just mostly opinion based.

I'd like to hear. :)

If the worst is that the book isn't 100% adapted (like anything else ever is), but IT turns out to be a faithful (and above all, good movie) I will be pleased.

I've never heard of Cinema Runner before. I hope they're right.

When it comes to adaptations, I do believe the major events and scenes need to be included in the movie, however, I'm all for change if it brings something new while still keeping the same point and theme. I actually find movies that are too close to the books too bland, dull, and by the numbers, like a hit list of scenes they need to get through until the film has ended. I hate when movies follow all the major points of a book but skip a tiny detail that doesn't really matter to anything in the grand scheme of things and fans are all "IT WAS NOTHING LIKE THE BOOK IT SUCKED WHAAAAA!!!" :whatever:

The 80's setting for IT is fine, and I'm sure a lot more people going to see this film will better relate and enjoy that era anyways.

All I want from this film is good acting, lots of drama and suspense, and a menacing and memorable villain.

So, not to get ahead of ourselves here, but... Part 2, adult Losers Club casting suggestions?

Considering her age and that she and the director worked together on Mama, I have to imagine Jessica Chastain for Beverly is on his mind.

That would be great casting, but she might be too "Hollywood" now (and too expensive). I think it'll work if the first movie made bank and got really good reviews.

Chastain as Beverly would be great.

I always pictured Isiah Whitlock Jr. when I read older Mike for some reason.
