Yep. Out of context it sounds awful, but kinda makes sense in the story. It won't make the movie...

thanks.

context or not, it still involves kids having sex with each other. and that's just not right.

so I'm glad it won't make the movie.

Only negative I have about the trailer is that the movie's Twitter account tried to sucker me into watching a cropped version.

But otherwise :eek::up:

I would have thought that aspect of the story was always a non runner regardless of the rating.

I liked everything about it so I'm fully onboard. I've never read the book but I'm thinking on getting it as soon as I finish the one I'm currently reading.

Even an NC-17 wouldn't let that fly. The most "be accurate to the book" fanboy still kinda reels at that scene actually being played out.

That theme playing at the very beginning of the trailer... is that from The Neverending Story? It sounds like it.

If I remember correctly, even King has said that he regrets writing that scene.

This thing has more views than Justice League. In 3 hours. The hype in out of this world.

I need to read the book. I watched the old miniseries back in the day and it was really good up until the stupid claymation spider ending. But I think this can be a lot better, even if Tim Curry is an impossible act to follow.

To be honest, THAT scene didn't even make sense in the context of the book either. All I could think about was how King could've probably written around it.

LOL, we were having fun dancing around it, man. You messed up the chain.

what? the kids' sex scene?

if so, I'm glad to hear that.

I'd have to go back and check, but I think that he blamed it on a combination of writer's block, too much booze, and not enough sleep.

I kind of get what he was maybe going for with that, sort of. But it just didn't work and was more cringe-inducing than anything else.

They're going to adapt the book into several films? I'm seeing the title "Part 1 - The Losers Club."

Two films if I read correctly. One focusing on them as kids, and the other as adults.

Eh. I think he was trying to create a permanent bond between the Losers Club, but there are other ways he could have done it. King was way more fearless as a writer back then. This is one case where he just crossed the line.
