I think the fact that [
] Bev ended up enjoying one of them is where the unfortunately implications really are, lol.[

Two films if I read correctly. One focusing on them as kids, and the other as adults.

oh? they're going to split it up?

guess that would let them take their time with the story instead of cramming everything into one movie.

Eh. I think he was trying to create a permanent bond between the Losers Club, but there are other ways he could have done it. King was way more fearless as a writer back then. This is one case where he just crossed the line.

Yeah that was my take on it as well, and most of the people that I know who've read the book as well.

That was just, the wrong way to try and accomplish that goal.

The story needs a good 3.5/4 hours to breathe minimum, so two movies is absolutely the right way to go. This isnt just another 90 minute horror movie story. It's dense with lore, world building and mythic characterisation.

and that's a good approach.

If part 2 gets made, I'd love to see the filmmakers combine part 1 and part 2 together as a single, long version of IT.

You'll get that via digital home release.

With this kind of hype Part 2 looks pretty damn inevitable.

Be interesting to know the budget for Part 1 so as to gage what it would need to make in a profit for P2 to be 'greenlit'.

its gonna be crazy seeing IT because tim curry was only 5'9 while Bill Skarsgård is 6'4 lol

Oh well whatever. I don't know those numbers. lol

The production budget is most likely around $35 million or so.

That "you will float too!!!!" at the end is freakin' creepy, yet so well done.

this shot was the most disturbing and unsettling.

the way he moves, the way his mouth looks, makes him look like an actual monster/demon, not just some creep in a clown suit.

I actually liked this trailer. It's well shot and doesn't look like a generic modern horror film like I was afraid of. It actually creeped me out. Especially that last shot.

I just still don't know how with Pennywise's head popping up like that and Georgie's reaction how Georgie would possibly want to talk to him.

This'll be the highest grossing horror film of the year. Everybody and their nan is talking about it. There's no way there won't be a sequel.
