If you were serious, it was a thing after TDK came out where the detective in the interrogation room with the Joker said "you killed six of my friends" and Joker mouths that back to him. Some people insisted he was correcting him and saying "Ten", and it went on and on and on and...

Oh God, I remember this.

I was on these forums back then and I have no memory of all that lol. That's pretty funny tho.

It's right up there with the whole Venom is in Spider-Man's eye thing from the SM-3 days.

Man I miss that hype. I remember this place was going absolutely crazy when that comic-con footage leaked. I swear, if Sony had the notion for the character, they should have saved him until Spider-Man 4. Jesus, could you imagine the build up to that film? I know Raimi didn't care for the villain/character but, God that would have been insane.

The closing shot could have been a post credits scene, or even end the film, with the bell tower scene and Venom jumping towards the camera. (Retool it where everything gets resolved etc etc and, instead of having a final Spider-Man swing, show Venom instead.)

Alright, back on topic...sorry.

Yeah, you're depressing us with what could've been for Venom. Beep beep, Resistance.

That one was the best. I still reference it whenever a black and white photo surfaces from an upcoming movie.

So here's a question. In the book, the kids grew up in the late fifties. In the TV miniseries, they grew up in the early sixties. Now in the new movie they grew up in the eighties.

My question is, will they still give Ben the nickname "Haystack"? I'm not sure most kids in the eighties even knew who Haystack Calhoun was, let alone use it as a nickname for the fat kid in the group. Most kids back then knew King Kong Bundy, One Man Gang, etc.

Nah. I'm sure they'll change it. 'Jabba' would probably be the best pop culture reference.

Not exactly a friendly rib though. Haystack was a babyface wrestler, so using that as a nickname can be seen as a term of endearment. "Hey, you might be fat but you're a good guy." Jabba The Hutt is a villain. Using that as a nickname basically says, "You're a disgusting slug and you make me sick."

I had no idea they were doing a Pennywise doc. I'll definitely watch that.

...Big Show?

I seem to recall today is the day the Losers defeated It in 1985 and Derry got wrecked: don't know if I'm right, but anyway, hope it's a good day nonetheless to share this video I made. Here's a few things I wanted to say about the upcoming Muschietti adaptation, hope you enjoy it!
(Sorry for my Italian accent :D)

You can watch it here!

Cary Fukunaga credited for screenplay. He gonna be pissed. lol

He will be! It's kind of a good thing he didn't direct as his second draft was a mixed bag. Hooray for Andy! Lol!

When I saw the film, it was a temp score, which still worked fine but I'm really looking forward to hearing this new score for the first time. Short snippet sounds great.

If they stick with the 27 year cycle of It's feeding pattern, then that means they were kids in 1990. Big Show didn't make his wrestling debut until 1995 I believe. A more appropriate choice might be The Big Boss Man. MAYBE Andre The Giant? Although he was also a heel at that time, he did end his career as a babyface (and was a face for most of his career before 1987).
