I haven't seen the film yet, but, does Bill Skarsgard have a shot at the Best Actor academy award?

I really like the 80s reference in the movie.
Such as the poster of "Gremlins" and "Bettlejuice" in Bill's bedroom.
And the poster of "New Kids on the Block" on Ben's bedroom door. Their song is also played in the movie.
Also, there is a scene where "Nightmare on Elm Street 5" is playing in the cinema.

Batman 89 and Lethal Weapon 2 as well.
I consider Chris Pratt and Jessica Chastain could be worthwhile candidates for Ben and Bev respectively. If admittedly fairly expensive choices.
I'm trying to think of actors who would play the rest.
Pratt is going to be too expensive, New Line will want to make IT: Chapter 2 for around the same ballpark as this one. Chastain is close with the Muschiettis (and worked with them on Mama), I can see her cutting her fee to play the older Beverly.
I've looked at a variety of films with similar robust late night numbers... $95M to $100M opening weekend for IT is very likely unless it's very front-loaded.
And for those saying, "well, it's September, it can't get to $100 million o.w.!" -- look at the first Hunger Games (March 2012) and Deadpool (February 2016) for proof that records can be broken while kids are in school.

This was a great movie. One of the best horror films in years
Is there somewhere on the internet to discuss fancasting for the next one? I already have some ideas:
Beverly Marsh - Molly Ringwald/Amy Adams
Eddie Kasparak - Fred Savage
Bill Denbrough - Colin Hanks
Stanley Uris - Tom Everett Scott
Ben Hanscom - Matt Damon
Richie Tozier - Andy Samberg
Mike Hanlon - Chadwick Boseman
