Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist thread

Oh please make the effects look good. The stills looks stunning. Would be a shame if it gets ruined by cheap looking Hadoken effects.

What's going on here? Is there going to be an actually good Street Fighter live action thing? I dreamed about that as a kid and argued that it could be done but didn't really follow up on that argument too much after the Street Fighter film was released. :csad: I love the animated film though and still have it prominently displayed on my shelf and I remember owning an Alpha video that wasn't too bad. Not sure where that got to.

Yeah, it's pretty much a Capcom distributed Web series of 6 25 minute episodes....Essentially a non linear movie about the lineage of the Ansatsuken. Ryu, Ken, Goutetsu, Gouken, Gouki/Akuma etc

From what I hear the hadoukens won't be all CG...I think Joey said something to the effect of real fire being used at certain points. That should be intersting to see.

That'll be interesting to see how it looks like. I was hoping for the electricity effect from the animated movie.

Mix up some CGI electrical effects with some real fire! This individual visual effect is probably as important as everything else put together :woot:

Sounds like it has promise, especially if coming from Capcom. Doubt they'd be bothered to do it if it didn't make Street Fighter look good. And I really hope it's a success and they can repeat this project bringing more SF characters into the mix.

Yoshihiro Ono saw a preview of this and praised it on twitter and Eric Jacobus aka MK Legacy 2's Stryker also praised it on FB. Things are looking good for this

Ono is the Street Fighter main guy, right? If so, I hope that's a sign of good things!

Also guys, come January, expect a stronger marketing campaign for this series. Trailers, more "spoilerish" pics and video clips etc.

New Akuma pics for Christmas:

Gotta say, my mind is officially blown by the new Akuma pics. Especially with the added effects looking great so far.

This looks interesting. I think a TV show is a better format for this than film.

I still remember the scene where Chun-Li watches Gen do a fireball in Legend of Chun-Li and how awful it looked. Just him doing a fireball and her reaction. And there was like no follow-up. Except when she does a fireball at the end.

The best thing I can say to you guys now is stick around and keep an eye on this project. Also be sure to tell any of you're friends that like Street Fighter about this because I think ALL Street Fighter fans deserve to be aware of this.

Here's your Happy New Year gift Street Fighter fans...

KEN, RYU, and GOUKEN:
