Man Walks Into McDonald's With Knife Sticking Out of His Back

http://7online.com/news/man-walks-around-with-knife-in-back-after-stabbing-in-queens/137076/

You would think his first call would be to an ambulance so they could get him to the hospital to get the freaking knife out his back. Guess he couldn't resist one last Big Mac

Do you know how much ambulances cost? F**k that. :argh: Say your goodbyes while munchin' on some nuggets.

20 piece nugget = $5. I mean really this guy would be stupid if he DIDN'T get them before heading to the hospital :o

What if he'd walked in to a Taco Bell? At least then he'd've gone out with a bang. :whatever::hehe:

Teens Fail to Steal Elderly Woman's Car Because They Can't Drive Stick

783616924225480622.png

Nancy Fredrickson had just parked her car in front of her Seattle home when she turned around and saw a gun pointed at her face.

"I thought it was a joke," the 71-year-old told KOMO News. Soon, Fredrickson realized the group of teenage boys wanted her car, and gave her keys freely. From KOMO:

"He says 'I want your keys!' I says 'There right here on the ground.' I had thrown them down like that," Fredrickson said while pointing to the pavement.

Fredrickson said her body froze as the three suspects got into her car thinking their getaway was within reach. There was just one problem.

The problem: the teens, like plenty of people these days, didn't know how to drive stick, and abandoned the car after failing to get it started. "I got a 5-speed in there, and they couldn't figure out how to get it going," Fredrickson said.

Had the theft gone on any longer, Fredrickson may have had another trick up her sleeve: The senior citizen told KOMO she's a black belt, and has been studying martial arts for 20 years. Good thing those kids ran off.

I guess we should all buy stick shifts now huh? Something tells me though if that old lady had tried some karate with these kids and a gun this would be a very different story to report

Brooklyn's Purse-Stealing Grandma Finally Stopped By Police

783770531576708903.png

Hannah Harris, 68, stole purses in two different Brooklyn restaurants this month, according to police. In the most recent incident, Harris slyly snagged a purse away from a woman holding a kid:

[YT]AjsUKddCLME[/YT]

You can see in the video, uploaded by Gothamist's Jen Chung, that Harris is a real professional. She sidles up to the woman holding a kid on the far right and expertly retrieves her purse from the back of her chair. The incident took place at Mullanes Bar & Grille in Fort Greene on Sunday, according to Chung.

Harris is also suspected of taking an unattended bag from the Tea Lounge in Park Slope on June 1st. She was arrested yesterday and charged with grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, and not giving a ****.

http://brooklyn.news12.com/news/68-...d-for-stealing-purse-in-fort-greene-1.8561882

I bet she has been doing stuff like this for a long time. I doubt she just upped and decided to start a life of crime at her age. Although when I get old I plan on doing all kinds of crazy crap since screw it, I'll be old

Hero Woman Slips Out of Handcuffs, Steals Weed Back from Cops, Eats It

783694849314782788.jpg

Tavish Smith cannot be stopped. After Florida Highway Patrol officers pulled her over for drunk driving and found weed in her car, she slipped out of her handcuffs, got her pot back, and ate it — all while sitting in back of the police cruiser.

The cops didn't notice at first, but caught wind when Smith accidentally showed her un-cuffed hand. Florida's WPLG has video:

[YT]fMq3DJaBVOM[/YT]

The circumstances surrounding Smith's arrest were equally impressive — albeit incredibly dangerous. While driving the wrong way on U.S. 1, she crashed her truck, and, undeterred, continued driving. It was only when she crashed a second time that cops caught up with her.

When the officers noticed the weed was missing, they turned around and saw Smith with "pot on her hands and face" and "crumbs everywhere," WPLG reports. Somehow, she was only looking at misdemeanors until that point, but was then charged with destroying evidence, a felony. She was released on bail and is currently awaiting trial.

Tavish Smith is a flawed, complex character, bringing to mind the antiheroes currently dominating popular drama. Driving drunk — like selling meth or presiding over a violent criminal empire — is always wrong, but her unflinching tenacity says something deep and meaningful about the American capacity to overcome. We could all learn something from her.

http://www.local10.com/news/handcuffed-woman-accused-of-eating-pot-troopers-say/26600402

I love her line of reasoning. I'm already arrested and they found the drugs but I bet if I eat it the won't notice and then I'll have one less charge!

If there's no evidence then there's no crime! Amirite or Amirite?

Mechanic Takes Rare Ferrari for Joyride, Crashes Into Wall

784122586549976643.jpg

If anyone is looking to hire a mechanic in Connecticut, this guy will definitely need a job: a mechanic from the Greenwich exotic car dealership Miller Motorsports took a Ferrari Enzo worth $600,000 for a joyride and promptly crashed into a wall, spiraled across traffic and smashed into a median.

The mechanic and a passenger were not seriously injured. The car, which is owned by a man named Michael Fux (okay) who made his fortune in mattresses (okay), did not escape as cleanly, sustaining what WHDH in Boston describes as "serious damage."

Aspiring exotic car joyriders should never forget that Fast & Furious are films about fake people.

And that is why you don't joyride in other peoples supercars

Ballsiest Robbers Ever Are Mugging Armed Citizens at Gun Ranges

783867231138991020.jpg

In another bizarre blow to the NRA's "good guy with a gun" crime-fighting cliché, Philadelphia police say a daring duo has pulled off two armed robberies at area gun ranges, outshooting one victim and intimidating others to make off with cash—as well as a cache of firearms.

Via Philly.com:

In the first incident, police allege, [27-year-old Jeffrey] Chandler and 21-year-old Samiyyah Poteat held up a 68-year-old man who was getting into his car outside the gun range.

Chandler pointed a handgun in the man's face and took the victim's backpack, which contained two .22-caliber handguns, police said.

That was June 11; on June 12th, they were at it again:

[T]he two approached a 68-year-old man outside the Delaware Valley Sports Center as he placed a duffel bag that contained seven handguns in the bed of his pickup truck. The woman pointed a handgun at the victim's face and demanded money and his cell phone.

The robbers took the bag of guns, and a 67-year-old man, who was standing on the other side of the vehicle, was shot during the incident. The gunshot hit the man's femoral artery and he is now hospitalized in critical but stable condition, police said.

That both sets of victims were armed, at places where more armed citizens convened, was not so much a deterrent to the robbers as an incentive. Why rob gun ranges? Because that's where the guns are.

Chandler, who is pictured above, is also known as "Stretch" and is still on the loose, and police are asking for tips to help find him: Tipsters can call 215-686-8477 (TIPS)or text 773847 (PPDTIP). Needless to say, you shouldn't approach Chandler if you see him, not even if you're a good guy with a gun. Especially if you're a good guy with a gun.

Update: Chandler's been captured. In all, he and his accomplice managed to steal nine guns in the two robberies. Police haven't said yet whether the weapons were recovered.

As strange as that sounds this story is not even surprising to me. I had a friend who was an avid gun enthusiast and he used to like to show off his collection to anyone, even strangers. We all warned him against this, but he figured who would rob a gun owner. Of course, he was very surprised when someone did. They took the whole collection too.

I normally hate Nancy Grace, but this is just classic. She tells a Dad on-air that his reported abducted son has been found alive in his basement. The Dad seems more concerned with keeping his story straight than showing happiness that his son's alive and then giving a belated and forced arms in the air about 3 minutes late. The Dad is guilty as sin and I feel sorry for the kid, but seeing his story fall apart live is just awesome.

I agree with you about Nancy but sometimes stuff like that happens and you have to give her props

Australian Cafe Was Docking Pay if You Cooked "Not Crispy Enough" Pork

784484520227979842.jpg

A cafe in Perth, Australia was slapped with fines after its absurd pay docking policies were deemed officially absurd by the country's Fair Work Ombudsman, which discovered penalties for small mistakes no employee could ever afford to accidentally make. They include losing $112 from your paycheck for not getting a pork belly dish "crispy enough."

Other screw-ups you cannot afford to make at this Australian cafe, as reported by the Australian Associated Press:

• $30 for every tomato you place in the wrong layer of the club sandwich.

• $12 for every overcooked waffle.

• $10 for every time you forget to prepare parsley for the next day.

• $100 for every time you show up late, even five minutes.

Australian Fair Work Ombudsman Natalie James deemed all these rules unlawful and was prompted to investigate after four employees filed complaints.

"Further, this employer was asking its staff to pay up to $1200 each out of their own pockets for in-house cooking demonstrations by the cafe's head chef," James told the Australian Associated Press.

She also berated the business for policies that do not encourage positive employee-employer working relationships, but rather incite them to report you to a government agency:

The Fair Work Ombudsman issued the business with on-the-spot fines totalling $7650 and a letter of caution placing it on notice for any further contraventions.

"Deducting money from employee wages as a punishment, or as some sort of performance management tool, is completely unlawful," Ms James said.

"And it is clearly not a constructive way of encouraging staff to improve their performance if there are performance issues that need addressing."

I would have reported them too, that's a ton of BS to have to deal with

Mother Refused to Take Sick Child to Hospital Over Vegan Beliefs

784440382008450708.jpg

Police arrested Sarah Anne Markham of Casselberry, Fla. today after she reportedly refused to have her newborn child eat or be treated with non-vegan food or medicine. The child, dehydrated and losing weight, was eventually taken to the hospital and placed into state custody. Markham was charged by police with child neglect.

According to WESH Orlando, Markham, 23, was informed by her doctor that her 12-day-old child was dehydrated and needed to be admitted to a hospital. Her doctor also gave her medicine, but according to police, she refused to administer the drugs to the child because it contained non-vegan ingredients.

WKMG reports that when police arrived at her home, Markham refused to answer the door and police were forced to call a locksmith to get inside and speak with her. Markham told police that she was waiting to get a second opinion and was interested in a "religious-based treatment." She said that she did not believe her child was dehydrated because it was still having regular bowel movements.

Markham apparently was not feeding her child the formula given to her by doctors. Instead, she was feeding the child an organic soy formula she had purchased at Whole Foods. From WKMG:

Markham said she did not give the formula/medicine that the doctor provided because she did not agree with the ingredients, which she said came from animals, the police report stated.

Markham said she purchased organic soy formula, and when asked if she confirmed with a doctor if it was safe for a newborn, she said that if Whole Foods Market sells it then the formula doesn't contain any animal parts and, therefore, must be safe, according to police.

Police were eventually able to convince Markham to take her child to the hospital because, according to the police report obtained by WESH Orlando, "she felt she had no other choice." Markham was later released from jail on bond and will not be able to see her child until a court hearing.

If you want to be a stupid hippie no problem. But the second your dumb hippie beliefs endanger a child then we have a problem. Babies need things to survive so a vegan lifestyle for a newborn is insane. What I don't understand is why she wasn't breast feeding? That's the best option and it is hippie approved, is she so vegan even her breast milk is off limits?

I can't stand that woman either which makes it all the more conflicting she got to call that man out on the air for kidnapping his own child. That reaction is priceless though. It's almost like something scripted from one of those procedural shows only this really happened.

There are so many things I want to say about this but I won't. It's plainly obvious what is wrong in this story and inflaming a certain segment of the forums won't benefit anything.

Breast feeding is not that easy for all women. Plus considering her diet, she may not have been able to produce milk.

Todd Akin Has More Thoughts About Women and "Legitimate Rape"

[YT]dw6j-weI5FE[/YT]

Former Republican Congressman Todd Akin, who learned in 2012 that mansplaining "legitimate rape" is one way of shutting a Senate campaign down, is hawking a memoir that defends his gestational theories. By blaming Hillary Clinton for rape culture.

In a book-promoting interview with the Daily Mail, Akin—the conservative Christian sad-sack who blew a can't miss chance at the Senate by opining on how the female body effectively prevents conception from rape—says it's actually the former first lady, senator, secretary of state, and probable Democratic presidential candidate who's really to blame for all the anti-woman sentiment in America:

'It is incredibly hypocritical that Hillary Clinton would carry on about an imagined "Republican war on women",' the former six-term congressman told MailOnline, 'when she once got a child rapist off the hook who she knew to be guilty, and laughed about how she did it when interviewed.'

'In the process, she de-legitimized the legitimate claims of the 12-year-old victim and then slandered the victim to justify her tactics.'

Akin refers to an old case that resurfaced last week when a blog for young conservative bros published audiotapes of Clinton discussing a 1975 rape case to which she was appointed as a defense attorney. Listeners were shocked to learn from Clinton's callous remarks that she might actually have been a relentlessly ambitious lawyer whose lawyering exhibited lawyerly tendencies.

Akin's long-titled book, "Firing Back: Taking on the Party Bosses and Media Elite to Protect Our Faith and Freedom," includes an even longer defense of his "legitimate rape" statement:

'When a woman claims to have been raped, the police determine if the evidence supports the legal definition of "rape",' Akin writes. 'Is it a legitimate claim of rape or an excuse to avoid an unwanted pregnancy? Are the police warranted to take action against a crime or not?'

'In short, the word "legitimate" modifies the claim and not the action. There have been women who have lied about being raped, as Norman [sic] McCorvey did before the U.S. Supreme Court. The infamous Roe v. Wade decision of 1973 was based on a lie.'

Serious note: The story of Norma McCorvey is especially fraught and loaded with "legitimate" rapes, abusive family members, and multiple unwanted pregnancies. But were the Supreme Court's Roe decision materially "based on a lie," as Akin claims, it could be revisited by the court. It has not been.

'My comment about a woman's body shutting the pregnancy down,' Akin adds in the book, 'was directed to the impact of stress on fertilization. This is something fertility doctors debate and discuss. Doubt me? Google "stress and fertilization," and you will find a library of research on the subject.'

'The research is not conclusive, but there is considerable evidence that stress makes conception more difficult. And what could be more stressful than a rape?'

Indeed. Shut it down, everybody. Shut it all down.

Dozens Hospitalized After Avicii Concert in Boston

785106112833254728.jpg

In what is becoming the de facto encore at EDM shows around the country, 36 people—most of them teenagers—were taken to hospitals last night after an Avicii show in Boston. Believe it or not, drugs and alcohol are thought to be the main cause.

Aside from the 36 fans who required hospitalization, 50 others were treated by Boston EMS at the scene. There were no fatalities and everyone is expected to make a quick recovery (once the drugs wear off). Teens who spoke with the Boston Globe attributed the incidents not just to substances, but also the pit's sweltering environment.

Mike Santostefano, 19, of Millis, said he saw three young women being carried out on stretchers.

"You couldn't breathe if you were on the floor," he said. "It was the best and worst time ever."

...

Roisin Saratonion, 18, left the concert earlier than planned because "it was just too crazy in there."

Saratonion, of Marblehead, said most concertgoers seemed like they were high school-aged.

"You get really hot in there and you just pass out. You couldn't breathe," she said. "It was claustrophobic. People get dehydrated."

Sounds like a blast.

Last night brought Avicii's 2014 body count to 65: in May, 29 people were taken to the hospital during a show in Toronto.

http://www.bostonglobe.com/metro/20...den-concert/76Re9atwB1goSGELaC3oyL/story.html

And that is why you don't buy drugs from strangers. These freaking kids these days, if you're going to rave with party favors you need to be in an open air environment so your body doesn't overheat. live and learn I guess

Shia LaBeouf Dragged Out of Cabaret in Handcuffs by Police

mmojexlspr3dlvozddzl.jpg

Broadway World is reporting that Shia LaBeouf was hauled out of a production of Cabaret during intermission by police in handcuffs. He was reportedly "being disruptive" during the first act.

Cast member Danny Burstein apparently posted to his Facebook, "Ladies and gentlemen, this is your places call for Act II. Also, to let you know, Shia LaBeouf has just been escorted from the building in handcuffs."

Update: Apparently, he was smoking inside the theater.

Update 10:58 p.m.: Per ABC's Aaron Katersky, LaBeouf was charged by police with criminal trespass and two counts of disorderly conduct, and apparently threatened police and other guests as the show. And according to Page Six, he allegedly told police officers at the Midtown precinct, "**** you. I'll **** you up." Police also apparently had to put him in a face mask because he kept spitting.

Update 11:39 p.m.: According to CBS New York, two witnesses who saw LaBeouf on their way to the show say he was apparently behaving strangely before he even got in the theater:

Two theatergoers told CBS 2′s Grymes they saw LaBeouf in a ripped shirt a block away from the theater while they were walking to the show. They said LaBeouf was chasing after a man who appeared to be homeless.

The witnesses said they also saw LaBeouf stumbling inside the theater in the bar, and feeding a woman a strawberry from her own plate.

"Honestly, I wasn't thinking of drunk or drugs. I was thinking he was working on a role, because it was that extreme," said witness Tina Marie Miller. "If we didn't know who he was, we'd assume he was a bum, literally, from how he looked and how he was acting."

An Ex-Chick-fil-A Employee Robbed a KFC

785633662499627812.jpg

Jeffrey Coley, 50, a former employee of Chick-fil-A, is accused of holding up a KFC drive-thru in Rock Hill, S.C. and speeding away with the cash register drawer containing $516.02. A day later and after a bit of a car chase, Coley was arrested by police in his Plymouth Neon, where the cash drawer was sitting on the seat with a little less than a gram of methamphetamine.

Coley, married with one child, told the judge in his hearing that he is his family's sole breadwinner, making $8.50 an hour at Chick-fil-A. But Mark Baldwin, a Chick-fil-A corporate spokesman, told the Rock Hill Herald that Coley was fired from his job earlier this month because he didn't show up to work two days in a row.

Norman Dobson, a KFC area manager, also told the Rock Hill Herald that Coley has been banned from all KFC stores and from speaking to any of its employees.

"Neither one of these young ladies has worked since the incident," Dobson told the Herald. "They're terrified; they're not getting a good night's sleep. He's turned their lives upside down. They're out there trying to make an honest living and this is what they got."

According to the Associated Press, Coley was charged by police with armed robbery, possession of a gun during a violent crime, failure to stop for police, and possession of methamphetamine.

When I took cell bio, my prof told us of parents who thought that since low-fat diets were great for adults (the jury's now out on that), they would be great for babies, not realizing that cholesterol is a necessary component of cell membranes and the result would be brain-damaged babies.

Here's an example in the flesh! :wow:

There have been plenty of child actors who have not gone off the deep end. Shia just keeps on getting chances. To be fair, he's an a-hole and brings drama, but he at least keeps showing up to work, unlike Lindsay Lohan.
