Teacher With Terrible Texting Skills Causes Bomb Scare at Harlem HS

jztilp4feffvrrhlvv11.jpg

A teacher at Renaissance Charter High School for Innovation in East Harlem, apparently bored out of his mind at a staff-wide "town hall" meeting last week, jokingly texted his wife, "Call in a bomb threat"—so she did, missing her husband's second text with the most essential bit of info: "Haha." Come on, man.

By the time the teacher's wife realized he was just kidding, police were already on their way. She apparently attempted to call them off, but because police rightfully take all bomb threats seriously, they told her they had no choice but respond and descend on the school.

"It was meant to be a joke. It was misconstrued, and, boy, oh, boy, before we knew it, there were cops here," the school's executive director, Stephen Falla Riff, told the New York Post.

Riff told the Post that after police arrived and spoke with the teacher—so far only identified as Eric—for "some time" and learned it was all just a big misunderstanding, they were cool with it. "The NYPD was satisfied it was a joke," Falla Riff said. "If they thought there was any doubt whatsoever, my guess is that he would be in cuffs right now."

According to EAGnews, the school will determine this week if Eric will be reprimanded for his "joke." (But apparently not for thinking the staff meetings are boring...) "We're really committed to due process," Fall Riff told the Post. "Any outcome will be based on the facts."

I bet he and his wife had some words that night

I don't think the teacher should be reprimanded for his wife taking his joke literally and calling in a bomb threat.

Drug cops converge on Georgia man's property after spotting ... okra

This could almost go into the abuse of power thread but it's more stupid than abusive. Okra is now a criminal plant. Children everywhere cheer. :oldrazz:

The grower was alarmed when the police helicopter swooped low over his property.

Soon, Bartow County, Georgia, deputies -- "strapped to the gills" and with a drug dog in tow -- converged on his doorstep.

They had the grower dead to rights.

Except the plant that the chopper cops had spotted from the air was ... okra.

Dwayne Perry of Cartersville told CNN affiliate WSB that he is none too happy about last week's "raid" conducted by the governor's drug suppression task force.

"Here I am, at home and retired and you know I do the right thing," Perry told the station. "Then they come to my house strapped with weapons for no reason. It ain't right."

He received many calls about all of the police officers at his home, Perry said, and he worries that his reputation in the community may suffer.

The helicopter was combing the area in search of cannabis plants when it came across the five-leaflet okra plant, the station reported. Marijuana plants can have anywhere between one and 13 leaflets per leaf, depending on maturity and health, but they generally have seven or nine.

"It did have quite a number of characteristics that were similar to a cannabis plant," Georgia State Patrol Capt. Kermit Stokes told WSB.

Upon realizing that it had dispatched officers to confiscate a popular gumbo ingredient, the Georgia State Patrol, which operates the task force, issued an apology, both to Perry and publicly.

"If we disturbed them in any manner, that's not our intent. Our intent is to go out and do our job and do it to the best of our ability," Stokes told WSB.

It seems like a humorous mistake, only because no one was hurt, but there have been numerous instances in which innocent citizens have been injured or worse when police acted on bogus information.

That potentiality didn't escape Perry.

"The more I thought about it, what could have happened? Anything could have happened," he told WSB.

Headmaster Caught in Hotel Room With Drugs and a Passed Out 21-Year-Old

mqkawmacazic3jjmwtpi.png

The headmaster of an expensive Bay Area private school is facing criminal charges after police busted him last week in a Sacramento hotel with a large drug stash and an unconscious woman.

Police began investigating when the 21-year-old woman's boyfriend called police and asked them to check on his girlfriend, who he believed was with an "older man" taking drugs at a hotel.

Thomas Woodrow Price was arrested when he opened the hotel room door and officers spotted the woman, Brittney Hall, passed out on a bed. Police also reportedly found meth, cocaine, heroin and prescription drugs. Both Price and Hall were arrested and charged with intent to distribute.

Price resigned as headmaster Monday when reporters began contacting the school about his arrest, according to a statement from the Branson School's Board of Trustees Chair.

The news of Woody Price's arrest is so bizarre as to defy logical explanation. And I have none. I can only say that the first time any Branson employee or trustee knew of his arrest was when the local media descended on the campus at about noon on Monday. His resignation was tendered and accepted before anyone could speak with him about the incident.

Florida Family Butt-Dials 911 While Planning Their Next Meth Cook

yahkudpsexnytlyxu8hj.jpg

An alleged mother-son meth-making team managed to alert law enforcement to their activities when they accidentally dialed 911 while preparing for a cook at their Florida home.

A Volusia County emergency dispatcher who fielded the unintentional cell phone call—a possible butt-dial—listened as two voices "discussed drugs." Eventually, she heard "a bubbling sound as if something was cooking," Orlando's News 13 reported.

The dispatcher kept the call connected for half an hour while deputies tracked the phone to a home in Deltona, where they discovered a shed full of "meth-making materials" with smoke billowing out of it.

"The search of the shed turned up all of the makings of an active meth lab, including coffee filters, a butane torch, batteries, drain opener, plastic tubing, hypodermic needles, lithium strips, lighter fluid, plastic bags and numerous plastic bottles containing a white substance," according to News 13.

Jason Knope, 32, and his mother Donna Knope, 55, along with 41-year-old Thomas Stallings, were evacuated from the meth-shed and arrested on charges of manufacturing and possession with intent to distribute.

Duck Dynasty Star Says "Biblically Correct Sex" Can't Transmit STDs

[YT]YN5cp8VKpDo[/YT]

It's impossible to get a sexually transmitted infection through "biblically correct sex," according to a new study from reliable scientific source Dr. That Homophobic Idiot with the Beard from Duck Dynasty No the Other One.

Phil Robertson, who was once fired from the A&E reality show— for 8 days, anyway—over his very public anti-gay bigotry, delivered his professional medical opinion during a recent sermon in Louisiana:

"Biblically correct sex is safe. It's safe. You're not going to get chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, AIDS — if you, if a man marries a woman, and neither of you have it, and you keep your sex between the two of you, you're not going to get EVER sexually transmitted diseases."

"Man meets woman, marries her, keeps his sex right there, the children come, the chances of them getting a sexually transmitted disease, would you say is almost zero? You can say it," continued the professional TV duck hunter and respected member of the research community.

If there were any non-sexual way to get one of these infections, Phil would certainly have heard about it.

Oh, wait:

"The organisms causing STIs can also be spread through non-sexual means such as blood products and tissue transfer. Many STIs—including chlamydia, gonorrhoea, hepatitis B, HIV, HPV, HSV2 and syphilis—can also be transmitted from mother to child during pregnancy and childbirth," according to the World Health Organization, which does not have a popular reality television show at this time.

But bringing that up is only for the "masters of exceptions," Phil says. That stuff never happens in real life.

And he would know, because Duck Dynasty merchandise brings in $400 million yearly, roughly four times what the U.S. government contributes to the WHO. That basically makes him a real doctor.

The fact that anyone listens to this poseur idiots is mind blowing

Does asexual reproduction count as biblically correct?

Well I never heard of an amoeba that caught an STD.

You obviously don't go to the right websites.

Just when you think Phil Robertson can't say anything dumber, he stuns you with something that tops his previous idiotic comments.

Like I keep saying 'People are idiots'.

Pastor's Sermons: I Have AIDS and I Had Sex With Congregants

o4kdqatfglgtjwijzgqz.jpg

In a series of recent sermons, a pastor at an Alabama Baptist church confessed that he slept with with several members of his congregation without disclosing that he has AIDS.

Last month, Pastor Juan Demetrius McFarland told members of the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Montgomery that he's been HIV positive since 2003 and has had AIDS since 2008. Perhaps encouraged by the congregation's reportedly supportive response, McFarland continued his confessional sermons over the next few weeks, admitting to mismanaging church funds, using drugs and, finally, that he'd slept with several female congregants without revealing that he has AIDS.

"I know a young lady who is a member of the church who says she has slept with him and that she didn't want this to go public, and she running out now trying to find out if there is anything wrong with her," one church member told WBTV. "And my heart goes out to her because she's been a wonderful church member, and then for something like this to happen. The fact that he didn't tell them at all. That's a crime in itself."

Authorities in Montgomery are reportedly aware of McFarland's confession. "He confessed to the entire membership and then to the City of Montgomery, because as soon as he got done confessing, it went all over Montgomery anyway," church deacon Nathan Williams Jr. said. "So it's nothing we [are] making up. It's coming out of his mouth."

McFarland, who was fired from the church on Oct. 5, could face misdemeanor charges of transmitting a sexually transmitted disease, according to WBTV.

NJ High School Football Team Hazing Included Fingers In Butts

vkavfn4dmvksbcqltalo.jpg

Daily hazing on a New Jersey high school football team allegedly involved seniors shoving fingers up the rectums of younger players, NJ.com exclusively reports. Sayreville War Memorial High School's entire football season has been cancelled as a result, Sayreville's superintendent, Richard Labbe, told the press on Monday night.

The allegations in detail, shared through NJ.com:

It would start with a howling noise from a senior football player at Sayreville War Memorial High School, and then the locker room lights were abruptly shut off.

In the darkness, a freshman football player would be pinned to the locker-room floor, his arms and feet held down by multiple upperclassmen. Then, the victim would be lifted to his feet while a finger was forced into his rectum. Sometimes, the same finger was then shoved into the freshman player's mouth.

Sayreville War Memorial—Jon Bon Jovi's alma mater—has won three state championships in the past four years, NJ.com reports. The football team's head coach has declined to comment on the allegations.

Many parents, however, feel conflicted about the cancellation of the season, claiming that the players shouldn't be punished for something that adults should be responsible for monitoring:

Madeline Thillet, speaking at Tuesday night's board of education meeting, said her son was one of the members of the team interviewed by investigators. She downplayed the hazing while protesting the cancellation of the season.

"I was at the police station with him when they were questioning him," she said. "They were talking about a butt being grabbed. That's about it. No one was hurt. No one died. I don't understand why they're being punished. I think that the forfeited game was punishment enough."

According to the report, freshmen players would rush to locker rooms to change quickly before the butt stunt was pulled. Local police and prosecutors are reportedly investigating.

WTF is wrong with kids these days?

If it happened anywhere else then there would be cops everywhere but since it happened with the local football team then it's fine. Of course.

If it happened anywhere else then there would be cops everywhere but since it happened with the local football team then it's fine. Of course.
Of course. Disgusting.

The coach should have cancelled the entire season himself once he found out about this, whether the sexual assault is true or not.

There was a case in some other state just involving bullying or failing grades (something child's play compared to this) and the coach did that. They're kids and they need some damn boundaries and right priorities in life.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't forceful entry into ones butthole considered rape in most states?

Only if it's not sports related because...? Go team?

Fraternity Prank Ends in Death of Perfectly Happy Flamingo Couple

blykpmc990c2nqv4psnq.jpg

A University of Southern Mississippi student is facing criminal charges after a poorly-conceived fraternity prank killed a female flamingo and her mate.

According to WTVA, 19-year-old Devin Nottis was supposed to get a picture of a flamingo for a Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity scavenger hunt. Instead, he apparently decided to steal a flamingo from the Hattiesburg Zoo in lieu of the photo.

Police say Nottis caught on surveillance video entering the zoo with three other people at 1 am Tuesday. It's not clear if the actual theft was filmed, but the Humane Society is offering a reward in an effort to identify the other flamingo-killers.

The flamingo was eventually returned to the zoo with life-threatening injuries and had to be euthanized. The zoo says shortly thereafter, the stolen flamingo's mate began "acting depressed" and eventually died from trauma related to the theft.

Nottis was suspended from school and is facing grand larceny charges. The fraternity of flamingo killers' charter was also suspended indefinitely.

Texas Tech Frat Bros Booted for "No Means Yes, Yes Means Anal" Banner

qxxlftx8gcbwfj69j745.png

The Greek community at Texas Tech is getting into all kinds of trouble lately. Today, Phi Delta Theta's national headquarters kicked out 29 members of Tech's Phi Delt chapter after the bros hung a "No Means Yes, Yes Means Anal" banner up at a party last month. They also displayed a "vagina sprinkler."

Bro Bible collected Snapchats from the event on September 19, which are as gross as you'd imagine. The event's theme was "hurricane."

According to the Associated Press, the chapter's charter is in escrow until the frat completes its sanctions. Those include "performing 10,000 hours of service to rape crisis and sexual assault prevention organizations."

The bros left in Phi Delt, who ostensibly weren't involved in the party, will have "limited" activities which "will include education in sexual assault prevention and bystander behavior."

Passenger Pulled from US Airways Plane After Yelling "I Have Ebola"

Vid on YT search: Ebola Scare on US Airways Flight 845 from Philadelphia to Punta Cana - October 8th 2014

A US Airways flight from Philadelphia to Punta Cana, in the Dominican Republic, was held upon landing yesterday after a sneezing passenger joked about having been to Africa.

"I have Ebola, you are all screwed," the 54-year-old man said, according to the Dominican news site Diario Libre. Fox News reported he also screamed, "I've been to Africa!"

The director of operations of the airport in Punta Cana confirmed a medical team boarded the plane in hazmat suits and took the passenger to a separate medical health area, where he was examined and found not to have the lethal disease. The Ministry of Public Health also confirmed the scare was a false alarm.

The dumbass and/or hypochondriac, who was also found not to have been to Africa, is being returned to the United States, where he will be checked again.

According to the person who posted the above video, the other passengers were held for 2 hours before they were allowed to disembark.

No cases of Ebola have yet been confirmed in Latin America.
