Stupid slang term thread

From what I've been told it's like when you want something real bad, being desperate for something.

I didn't know what the hell people were talking about when I first started hearing it.

I don't even think people really say some of the things these rappers are talking about, like I don't think I've heard anyone yet say that they've been "chopped and screwed".
I have. I also heard people pick up "Bugaboo" after that Destiny's Child song came out.
And WTF does "Chopped & Screwed" mean anyway?!?!?!?

*quickly puts on some music to keep that song out of my head

I heard a guy call his girl his "boo" in the mall once...I wanted to punch his little sideways cap face:o

i remember a time when i was working at Blockbuster back around 2000 when everyone and their mom kept using 'hey GUY' instead of 'hey man' or 'hey dude'. i had 3 customers in a row come up to me and say 'wasup guy?' then i turned the person working next to me and told them 'i'm really getting tired of everyone saying "guy".....then the next person in line also ended up using 'guy'.

According to Urban Dictionary...

when a woman uses a man to get what she want then when asked if she wants to go out she rejects the guy

i'm fine with people calling their loved ones 'boo'. no worse than calling them 'baby' or 'sugar' in my eyes.

:oYou should of!
don't take this personal but this is a common grammar mistake that i hate seeing people post...

...it's either "you should HAVE" or "you should've".

Except that boo has no meaning what-so-ever. You would call your girl sugar because she maybe sweet or even call her baby because you treat her like one. But, WTF does boo have to do with anything? It was just made up one day and it caught on.

Thank you for correcting me.

I REALLY hate when people say "that's gangsta"

ever heard of 'peek-a-boo'? hehe...foreal though, i see what you're saying and you have a good point...but i still don't see what's so bad about it. it's not like saying 'roxers' or 'forizzle'. the way i see it, it's just a cute name that people give their loved ones. sure it has no real meaning, but it's not as if people call their gfs/bfs 'baby' because they need to change their diapers or anything.

Thank you for correcting me.

I guess the ghosts and spirits have had it wrong for years. They were just really calling to their loved ones:o:oldrazz: But thank God Lil' Brittle set that straight for us in his debut album:up:

Didn't "chopped & screwed" once refer to remixing songs?

Epic isn't stupid...Epic Movie is stupid.

i have heard bugaboo used as a racial slur for black people

like a spin off from "spooks"

People who actually say "Lawl" or "lol" instead of laughing. If it was that funny then why didn't they actually laugh? Next person who does it in front of me will get head butted.

pretty much the same reasons you stated. It's a horrible saying. It doesn't mean anything. It's not even an apology. It's worse. I can't believe the English language has deteriorated so much. :csad:

Well "my bad" came from America, the English had nothing to do with it!!:cmad:

My daughter actually said, "OMG!" when she opened the Nintendo DS we got her for her birthday.

Well youngsters can be excused. But if a adult did that I would have to give them a clip round the ear :D
