Um, yeah...keep brainstorming there.

Still not sure about what, but ok, whatever floats your boat...

@Dox, that seems like a lot of work for someone...

The real chore is setting up ranks and awards. And maybe any other aesthetic related stuff. If you disabled reputation - it doesn't count; if that is the concern. But you are right, it would take some work. Especially for mods and admins, not for lazy posters like moi :woot:

whoa...

I think they have some good stuff going for them, and the basic idea is good. I don't want to keep knocking it, because to me it looks complicated...to someone that knows what they are doing, it might look easy.

All three looks complicated, or the vbExperience?

i like the bank one, essentially post count = cash right?

Yes, and you can buy stuff with cash. People can sell stuff for cash. Donate money. And if the admins feel like being power hungry ****es, they can tax us :funny:

I dunno how the gift item works. If users make them or certain items are put into economy for people to buy and sell. I have to look into it.

I haz downloaded it. If there is serious consideration, I can look into. See how hard or easy it is to install, and maybe answer some questions.

no. not at all

i'm saying, ok for example, aesop's avvy is from iron man 2 apparently (going by what he said, i havent seen it yet)

i imagine there's gotta be at least some kinda spoiler or exciting bit in the trailer. some people don't wanna see that before they see the movie.

so say you're posting in, the lounge (again for ex), i think it'd be along the lines of netiquette to put said images or graphics or animated things in a spoiler tag so users have the option to view or not

You know, before I told you what my avy was, you had no idea what it was and frankly it's not even spoileish, it's a single frame then it instantly cuts to something else. I'm not attacking you, I'm just telling you.

Oh and, all of this is kind of...well..

We already have
spoiler tags and we can put images:
2rrxs34.jpg
in them.

i wasn't calling you out at all, or anyone for that matter. if anything, i was thinkin too far ahead

with avatar coming out this weekend, for instance, a lot of people are gonna see it, some are gonna wait a bit. i just would hope if someone was going to post something from the movie, they'd be courteous to those who haven't seen it and post it in a spiler tag, be it text, image, etc.

i know at one time it was enforced, i doubt it will be enforced now, and i'm more than ok with that. it was just a netiquette thing to me and like i said, i worry too much and see problems before they ever even come up. its a fault of mine

Nah, it's fine. I understand what you mean, I see it clearly with the avatar example but really outside of the proper discussion thread in the Misc Film forum, I don't see really any spoilers for it (or any other movie). I mean, I saw a huge spoiler gif in the gif thread which should have been covered with a spoiler tag but it wasn't. No one complained about it (mostly because it's amazing). But, isn't it against the rules to post spoilers in other threads other than the proper thread without spoiler tags?

I think it should be. If I want spoilers, then I go into the spoiler forums at my own peril. But I don't want to see spoiler material outside of that given forum or thread. Avatar does not have a forum but it does have a thread. I know if I go into the Avatar thread I am going in at my own peril, but I don't want to see spoilers or reviews other than "Hey it was amazing!" in the Lounge. :(

I always thought it was. Has been on every other movie site I went too.

I'll check on this....

It's easier to enforce avatar/gif spoilers for major niche films on this site. It's very narrow and particular. But if this is consistent for all films not relevant to the superhero niche, it might be difficult. Not all moderators or admins know (upon first inspection) whether it is a spoiler or not.

I don't see how something from a trailer should be considered a spoiler to be honest.

I agree, but for some of the major, major films like Iron Man 2 etc....we have people that try really hard to not watch anything. The problem is, this is SuperHeroHype, and the Hype ain't there for the fun of it....but I will bring it up in the Mod Room, and see what is said...:yay:

i think if its a big big spoiler then of course you have to take it down but for small stuff like my Avy its alright.

Any admins reading?

For the Vigilante skin.

Style Manager > Body > Font Size

Switch from 11pt to 10pt - some fonts disproportionately too big (see group discussions messages). Reverts back to original font size as the default skin. Takes like two seconds to do.

You guys might find this to be useful: vBFirewall v1.0
Its a PHP script which blocks all kinds of attacks on your vBulletin Forum! Like: URL Poisoning, Remote File Inclusion, SQL Injection, XSS and other kinds of attacks.

I have tested each and every function of this mod before releasing it and have used it myself for 1 month

It has a attacker logger, which logs the IP and many details of the attacker so that you can reach him

This is still in beta version and I will add more features in it to make your vBulletin more secure

I don't consider trailers and TV ads to be spoilers, but extended clips and bootlegs, yeah, I have a problem with open discussion of those outside the spoiler forums/threads. Actually I have a problem with bootlegs altogether, especially in light of what happened with Wolverine. :(

im just wondering if AVATAR can get its own section.
