I'm for 15,000 posts before you can post images. That's like 2 days for the average lounge posterHere's an actual suggestion. Don't let brand new users post images. Make it something that they get after so many posts and so long waiting.

so, i gotta say that moderating and infractions have got quite ridiculous around here to the point where its almost laughable. i have been here for 7 years, and only in the past few months have i started to receive infractions, and for reasons that are mind boggling stupid. i could cite a few examples, but here are two.
a few months ago i was infracted for self censoring a curse word instead of letting the auto censor do it for me. yes, i got an infraction for censoring myself. we're talking about the dreaded S-word here (gasp!). for the 'H' and 'I' in the word i used # and !. apparently that looked too much like the real letters. because you know, if they are '**' instead of '#!' then the young kids who visit this site will be magically protected from the offense and their innocence will be left intact. this infraction is made all the more ridiculous since on the front page of SHH! (which gets way more traffic than the forums) is linked to the red band trailer for the movie Kick Ass, which displays far worse and completely uncensored language.
then today, there was a thread about mcdonalds being told it was wrong for firing an employee over an extra slice of cheese. in the thread i said "holy crap who cares?" and was infracted for it. the moderator, hobgoblin, said i was trolling. then when i questioned how thats trolling, he said maybe it was spamming (apparently the moderator himself doesnt know why im being infracted), but either way he said it was unnecessary posting. now, is there some place around here where i can see a guideline of what is considered "necessary posting?". and regardless of its necessity, i feel the post was entirely harmless and so totally NOT trolling or spamming. and i'm also pretty sure that there are far less necessary posts here that go unchecked on a regular basis. and then i was deferred to this thread, because apparently moderators have time to hand out infractions, but not the time or means to justify them.
surely you guys have to have your rules around here, and thats to be understood and respected. but over the past year things have clearly gone too far in that regard. it makes it almost impossible to take any of these infractions seriously.

PMing an Admin. will be much more fruitful than bringing it to this thread. This is not what the thread is for, PM is a better solution.
well i only posted the issue in this thread because thats what hobgoblin told me to do when i questioned the infraction that he gave me.
as for the censor bypass, lets be honest, no matter how the word is censored it's always going to be read as what its intended to be. its not fooling anyone. so does it really matter how its censored?
and the second one, just go to the following thread and insert an imaginary post from me that says "holy crap who cares?"
http://forums.superherohype.com/showthread.php?t=333874
either way, i think my point still stands in regards to feedback on how the site is being moderated. i hope its taken into serious consideration.
