I hate Latino Review but I hope it's true as well. She is my number one choice. HTGAWM is not a sensational program but Viola Davis is magnetic in it, she's just a terrific actress.

Glad Davis got the role. I appaud WB for putting together such an exceptional cast and crew so far. All they have to do is make it all come together.

This isn't a high profile comicbook that is being adapted, getting a good cast together is an excellent idea. If they hadn't gotten interesting people for this film I only would have saw it to support the DCCU but now I actually want to see it, see it.

I agree. If WB can continue to put together talent in thier DCCU they have a real shot at winning back the doubters and proving that they're serious about these movies. They've made plenty of bone headed mistakes but it looks like they're learning from them.

Marvel has proven high profile doesn't really matter because interest in the superhero genre is strong. Suicide Squad isn't obscure to comic fans because Amanda Waller is a well known character. It's more popular than Guardians of the Galaxy was. The casting certainly elevated the buzz but I still think people would have been interested in seeing it for the characters especially Joker and Harley. People weren't too interested in GotG until after the trailers. All the superhero movies try to get the best talent they can. The characters in Suicide Squad aren't as specific as say Superman, Wonder Woman, or Aquaman so they managed to get bigger names.

Viola Davis all the way! Not a big Spencer fan and I don't think she would have fit the role of Waller as Viola fits like a glove.

Agreed. Although the Joker is a household name (and Harley arguably is too), they needed to have some proven talent in this film. If they had used relative unknowns in all the roles, it wouldn't have anywhere near the buzz that it does.

Don't think they sold GotG on good will. People were saying it could be Marvel's first flop. Then the reviews came out and they were good.
