If people are loving Ayer's little jab, then they better not get worked up the next time someone from Marvel throws some shade. Don't dish it if you can't take it.

Besides, his comment doesn't make much sense. Marvel clearly maps out their films, hence the "phases."

Pretty sure DC has gotten plenty more shade. BTW, is saying the truth really a jab? If someone says Marvel movies are light and comedic, is that a jab too? Apparently describing Marvel movies is too much of a jab. Only worship and praise allowed :o

You're right, it wasn't a jab.

I guess I must have gotten confused by all the "Burn!" gifs and laughing emojis.

Look guys. I've been posting on these boards for years. I'm a DC guy. But this whole defensive, "us against the world" mentality is just getting tiring. Getting up in arms every time someone from Marvel makes a jab, or Campea goes on a negative rant, or Faraci posts the same tired jokes over and over. And then when someone from DC throws shade, it's suddenly hilarious. Rubs me a bit hypocritical. That's all.

My bad, I just really like using 'burn' gifs

I could care less about jabbing marvel

In any case, I'm derailing the thread with this. My apologies.

That new pic is FIRE!!! So pumped for the new trailer:). When do you guys think we'll get to see Tattooed Man in action?

Common only spent a day on set. Not sure any scene with him will be in the trailer.

I think Ayer's comment might hint at a much tighter connection between the films; we may see much more overlap, kind of like the first few Marvel films. Remember how both Captain America and Thor actually acted as perfect preludes to Avengers because of the way they set up Loki and the Tesseract? Or how CA:TWS really did shake-up the status quo for the rest of the film's and felt more important, even with a scaled back threat?

We know that BvS is going to reveal that Bruce was in Metropolis during the final battle of MOS; we know that Waller is invoking Superman's appearance for the weird events going around and that Batman is in the film; perhaps at some point during this film, the Squad will discover that the Proto-Justice League has made a public appearance and is busy dealing with a problem so the Squad can't even grudgingly hope for their help, or maybe Ares recruits Enchantresses spirit or something.

The biggest issue with the Phase 2 films for Marvel was the two or three that felt like they were at once both deeply connected to the other Avengers, but not enough to include them: Iron Man 3 and Thor-TDW both had huge callbacks to the Avengers, and had threats that should have required them, but didn't really do anything with that. GOTG was far enough away from Earth and Asgard you didn't worry about that and you had Thanos actually impacting the plot, CA: TWS was basically an espionage thriller so Cap couldn't really call on help, and CA:CW is basically running off Avengers power.

It may be that Ayer is seeing DC follow the more successful Marvel films at the same time Marvel si realizing that as well.

Being both a marvel and dc guy here and that mentality is one of the most annoying things to put up with. Having to deal with snide jabs at the other guys, even if unprovoked a lot of the times. It has toned down a little but its still annoying nonetheless because it makes it hard to want to associate with other fans.

And on topic, i wonder if that pic is an actual still or a posed shot only meant to be seen as a still image.

Ngl everbody looks amazing, but i'm shocked at Jai! He's even emoting!?! I think he's going to be a surprise highlight of this film.

Definitely an actual still. Way too much going on to be just a pose. Clay Enos took the pic, so he must've been notified ahead of time that the group would be in such a formation during this particular scene.

I guess i meant more if it was a timed deal, its very apparent they were filming actual scenes when that shot was taken. I just wondered if they'd really be in that type of formation or if they kind of set up an exaggerated group shot like that.

Yeah, I got what you were saying. We can't know for sure , but I suspect it's the former.

I wonder when the official movie posters going to come out? That first group photo they released really lq.

Love the new pic and interviews. The new trailer so close, it's hard to believe this movie comes out in under eight months.
