I was actually referencing something that happened in the comics. After Harkness was caught with his pie throwing prank, Amanda Waller decided to leave him on a deserted island twenty miles off the coast of Australia. When she came back for him later the Squad found him as he just finished building a giant boomerang to get off the island.

8 months away from the movie is a pretty much when WB dropped the comic con trailer for BvS.
I think they just don't want Suicide Squad marketing to overtake BvS at this point though

I don't think there are many people that have a problem with Leto (the vast majority of people seem happy with him). The main problem people have with the Joker is his look.

Leto has always been a great choice in my eyes. The look is gave me pause but I'm used to it now.

The thing is, I honestly wasn't wild about Heath's Joker look when it was first revealed. He looked creepy and all that but I had been hoping for something more in-line with the Neal Adams style Joker. But his performance f***ing killed it, and that's what really mattered. I grew to LOVE the look. I feel like if Leto can deliver a great performance, than the issues people have with the look will simply fade away.

Actually, that's what will happen with SOME people. Others will hate the look no matter how good the performance, simply because it's more fun to b***h about something on the internet than it is to actually enjoy it.
