And his report about Jim Gordon being dead? ;)

The reshoots have been planned for a while...he is grasping at straws.
I remember this same skepticism over BvS, and all that turned out to be true. Though again McWeeny is a legit source, with no agenda.

I totally agree. But then the question is when did this dawn on them? If this movie is divisive like the last two, I pretty much lose faith in WW, JL and everything else. Considering how excited for WW I am, that would be a bit heartbreaking.
SS isn't my most anticipated film but I'm not ready to start panicking because they want to add more humor. This wasn't directed by Snyder so I'm still giving it the benefit of the doubt. Movies have changed with reshoots and sucked and they have changed with reshoots and not sucked. I'll get on a panic wagon if we hear that it's testing poorly.

I always thought SS was going to be dark but I also felt it would have more humor than BvS from the beginning. I'm just guessing though, maybe I'm wrong.

I want this to be humorous. I just wonder why, if this is true, they feel the need to add humor. I'd be less worried if BvS didn't just happen and the Joker didn't look the way he does. Remember, McWeeny said that these policies were for all the movies, not just BvS.

Eh I get what you are saying but I feel it's a different director so I don't want to put all of the rotten I feel about Snyder on Ayer.

I'm just in a we will see mode. I'm not worried or not worried. I mean the film sucking wouldn't shock me or anything, not with WB's record.

I still don't believe the no jokes thing was a real policy.

Fair enough.

I should point out that I worry a crazy amount, so I am probably more then willing to be worried early on.

I do understand your worry, honestly I do.

I'm not exactly in an "everything is going to be fine" mood when it comes to DC right now either. I mean it's only been a week since the gut punch of BvS.

TMZ posted a pic of Will today in NYC filming his latest movie, so yeah...

If they're doing reshoots, I think it's entirely possible that it's for the same reasons so many other films do reshoots. The idea of it being to add more jokes SCREAMS of Faraci fanning flames and yet we fall for it again and again.

Before BvS came out, I was not worried about Suicide Squad. Now...

And yet, I'm still invested in Suicide Squad and it absolutely has to be good. It can make up for BvS, I think, if it's awesome.

I'm not too sure about the rumor. We'll see. I actually wouldn't mind more humor at all. Say what you want about the Marvel formula, but it works. I do like it. I've enjoyed the MCU, for the most part, so I don't think it'd be a problem.

We need to remember that humor doesn't negate a dark tone. See Daredevil or Jessica Jones... or hell... just look at The Dark Knight. A very dark movie that also had some pretty humorous moments, especially from the Joker. Suicide Squad has the Joker and Harley Quinn. I think humor is a given. And more humor isn't a problem as long as it's done well.

In the end whether it's to add more humor or not, I trust Ayer over Snyder to deliver the goods.

I really have no interest at all in light, fluffy, sunny, jokey, tee hee, hardy har, let's all hug comicbook movies, unless they are an outright satire. If the critics are such delicate snowflakes or such simpletons that they need a constant barrage of bright colours and smiling faces in order to sit still for 2 hours then the critics should be fired.

Not only the critics, a lot of the fanboys turned out to be delicate snowflakes.

Regweg comes back with a vengeance... and a touch of hyperbole.

I know that in this post Avengers age it'll be difficult for the likes of Snyder, Terrio and Ayer to have their own take outside of the light/funny/straight forward success formula.

But I'm optimistic. And with BvS and SS and more films like them, more people will see the light and join DC in the sun :)

The marvel Netflix shows are more dark and adult than marvel's other tv shows and films. It isn't impossible for the dc movies to have a tone similar to the Netflix stuff and be successful.

I think people are jumping the gun with the dceu. I think the non-Snyder films are going to be better received than bvs

Shhh. Clearly you just want a fluffy movie full of jokes, or to be handed a toy to be entertained while you're in the theater or something.

So this is what a discussion of humor is, to you? Does the word "humor" appear in your dictionary as something like "the kind of thing that only shows up in children's Disney Princess cartoons" or something?

What you described is not humor.

Agreed.

Exactly.

Clearly some people really think that... :whatever: :cwink:

Somebody forgot to change their password! HAHAH! Help me take over Twitter with my hashtag #JokerWasHere and I might mess with you too.

Building up to a photo/poster/footage reveal? We'll see.

EDIT: just realized it's probably an April Fools tie-in.

April Fools would be a great time to release some Joker related promotional material.
