I like that Killer Croc is not CGI but he is too short. Not much taller than Harley.

Yeah that has aways been my complaint. I initially wanted a CG beast. But they did a good job with the prosthetics but he is too short. The actor is a tall guy, but the other actors are tall too.

They could have did what Snyder did with Xerxes in 300.

He wasn't that big in the animated series so they might be going for that but he was still more muscular:

He's still bigger than Batman.

And we all know how big the new Batman is.

Yeah, I didn't have any problem with the CGI in BvS. (Though the post-nuke scene made Supes look like Bill Murray). That said, I'm pretty happy that they went the prosthetic route with Croc. His height doesn't bother me at all.

Also it doesn't help that freaking Harley Quinn and her high heels makes her taller than Killer Croc. Maybe it is just a perspective issue.

So Jon Schnepp has heard that more comedy is being added to Suicide Squad as we speak..

*Couple of months later*

Drew Mcweeny reports that Suicide Squad is getting mixed reactions from a WB test audience, Warner Bros is worried.

Jokes, I'm surprised you still have that avvy :o

When Suicide Squad is released and people will see how comedic it is, they will probably say that it's because of BvS. Even though Ayer said the movie will be comedic after the release of the comic con trailer.

Ah, and so the "I heard..." tweets start.

Thats how its starts..

I'm intrigued by SUICIDE SQUAD, but I hear it's so intense that everyone who saw its trailer was rendered instantly and permanently insane.

Is that what you kids are calling it nowadays...

So, we're gonna meet [BLACKOUT]post-Martha Batman, who returned to his ideals of preserving justice and law[/BLACKOUT]?

I feel Suicide Squad happens after Batman v Superman events... Not long after.

It's a composite image, the scale is all wrong.

I think the lambo chase scene takes place before Harley was locked up and before the events of Man of Steel. It seems that the Batman in that scene isn't as brutal as he is in BvS because he isn't packing a gun on the batmobile.

I really need a scene with Batman and Waller, with Batfleck condemning the notion of a Suicide Squad comprised of villains Batman worked hard on arresting over the years and Waller's all like "Back off rich boy, this is MY prison."

It's clear that it happens before Harley was locked up. I have a feeling that Joker was sitting in a can for quite some time. Probably since he was locked by Batman after death of Robin. After that, Batman was busy being disappointed in his crusade, became more and more violent, began to break his code from time to time, started branding criminals.

Years later, somewhere around the events of Batman v Superman, Joker seduces Harley and escapes Arkham. Harley later chases him and after certain events they become a couple. Batman didn't hunt them, because he was occupied with Superman. At some point, after events of Batman v Superman, Batman returns to Gotham and briefly resumes his crime fighting activity with restored code (he needs to gather JL after all). He finds Joker and Harley, chases them and captures Harley only, Joker remains at large. Then he has conversation with Waller about a team of bad guys working for government, and he's probably against it. But the team will be formed and the task will be the Joker, who obtained some technology from Kryptonian ships, maybe smuggled, maybe stole or whatever.

This theory explains as well why Batman didn't just outright kill the Joker for everything he did. Batman uses the code again. Preserves justice and law.

I can't find the link. Yes, Ayer hinted at the comedy of this movie, but this movie is suppose to be very dark.

Those Harley getting slapped scenes weren't filmed for nothing.

Also when speaking on his new movie Bright, Ayer stressed how he wants the freedom to make challenging R rated movies.

Dark humor is still humor.

A movie can be dark and also very enjoyable. Pulp fiction had a scene where a man was accidentally shot in the head and the scene actually was played out to be intentionally funny and it was. Suicide Squad can still have very dark and serious themes without having to make the movie be depressing.
The footage he showed was surprisingly dark in tone, but at the shoot Ayer told THR of the film, “The real shock is how hilarious it’s going to be.”
