I said I was worried about WB stepping in to change this film.

I knew Ayer wanted comedy, but his style of comedy was Pulp Fiction type comedy. Not quips and Marvel esque.

This was my fear once they released that 2nd trailer. People were going to expect that kind of film. The BvS criticism only added more fuel to it.

I wasn't disappointed in the 2nd trailer...but I was hoping it would have kept the tone of the first trailer... and the fact that I knew Ayer was directing, I figured he was going to take a more gritty, serious tone to this movie which still might be the case, but the 2nd trailer did make the movie feel more fun and exciting...I just want that darker tone. I mean, I wanted some really crazy joker scenes in Arkham...especially with Dr. Quinzel...I just hope Leto doesn't come off the way Eisenberg did as Luthor. I want bat **** crazy.
 
I think this is why Ayer decided to go to Netflix instead of WB for Bright. He made it clear he wanted freedom for his own type of film.
 
And here I am... I was so happy when I read that DCEU will be more director's vision driven... (( Now that's depressing.
 
I really have no interest at all in light, fluffy, sunny, jokey, tee hee, hardy har, let's all hug comicbook movies, unless they are an outright satire. If the critics are such delicate snowflakes or such simpletons that they need a constant barrage of bright colours and smiling faces in order to sit still for 2 hours then the critics should be fired.

Ayer said that the movie is going to be comedic after the Comic Con trailer was released. The tone of the trailer was probably Ayer's decision and the trailer did show that the movie will have some dark moments, Captain Boomerang laughing and chugging a beer as he watches someone die.

I wonder what actors participate in re-shoots. Ayer said long time ago, probably when the first trailer was out, that the movie is incredibly funny. So it's really puzzling they're re-shooting stuff again.

Yeah, Ayer said that the movie would be hilarious after the comic con trailer and now Devin Faraci knows a guy who knows a guy that said all the funny moments in the movie were in the second trailer. I'm not trusting it.

Which is true. That movie was unique and different than we expected. Some loved it and some hated it.

I don't think he's wrong about this.

What if its hilarious TO HIM.

His own sense of humor may be like Tarantino. WB may want humor like Whedon.
 
dark tone is not why critics and fans did not like BVS

BVS is not very good because it is just a poorly made movie with bad editing,terrible pacing,bad script,no character development or motivation,pointless scenes that didn't move the plot forward,etc.
 
Why isn't Will bald and Jared with green hair and shaved eyebrows? I guess you could say they aren't involved in the reshoots but this just seems like typical BS rumors because of the poor reception to BvS

Who is scoring this film? I feel like you can make the film "more fun" by just pairing it with "fun" music. This last trailer wasn't exactly funny, just paired with that music made it seem fun.

Yep. Or he was lied to and he just shared it, hoping that it turns out true. I can't believe I'm making excuses for el maybe. :D

The movie will have both a score and a soundtrack. Steven Price, who did the score for Attack the Block, The World's End, Gravity, and Fury, will be doing the score.
 
You guys believe everything Devin says smh. They could be doing re-shoots for any number of reasons, if they're doing re-shoots at all. Kinda doubt it though El Diablo as of yesterday is rocking a beard and his hair is grown out, Margot is about to start shooting a movie, Jared has a beard and Jesus locks again on Snapchat and that's only the ones i've seen so far. I know Will last week in NY had hair and a stubble beard too
