I was trying to be politically correct, but downward spiral is exactly how I'd describe it.

i duno about that, maybe in a movie sense but even then SR was a critical success and most people enjoyed MOS.

On tv though you had smallville for 10 years, a bunch of animated movies that were above average.

It was sarcasm, I suppose. There's nothing wrong with Batman being in SS movie in a small role. No bigger than WW one in BvS.

As a fan I can't imagine me freaking out over more Batman but I honestly don't see his role being that big here.

I assume Joker jumps out of the car before it goes off the cliff.

Familiar words. Fans said the same about any claims that BvS was not going to be the highest CBM grosser this year. A shoe in to make an easy ride to a billion. Right now it's struggling to get to 850 mil. A panned Melissa McCarthy movie can over take it in the weekend box office in it's third week only. All this happening with no other competition in the theaters. Embarrassing.
I didn't said that. Once I said it's gonna get 2 bil. for laughs, because I don't understand anything in box office nor I can predict how the movie will perform, unlike many "experts" here. You know what's really embarrassing? Embarrassing to critics reputation in the first place? Critical reception and hate bandwagon. I never read so much ******** in my life when I decided to go through so-called "reviews".
Nobody imagine this happening. Nor did they imagine a 29% critic score. Or BvS being even more disliked than MOS. But here we are. My point is don't be so certain of what can and cannot happen. The train wreck that is BvS proved the most unlikely of things can happen.
I'm not certain. That phrase was aimed at Rowsdower! because he used quite extreme words to describe his displease with something related to DCEU. Despite knowing that there are fans, who are really happy with DCEU films so far and it really sounded disrespectful of their opinions. Choose polite words. You can always say "I don't want Batman to dominate the screen in SS movie, because I disagree with Zack's portrayal of him nor it's a film about Batman". Instead of "this horrible version of Batman, I don't want it to be pushed down my throat, because Superman gets... and blah-blah-blah hate rant, who liked this film has no taste". I can always begin to insult fan feelings in the same manner. But it's not the right way to go.

As for the future of DCEU, I'm already happy I get Harley origin film and the trilogy of Zack, as well as established foundation of DCEU, from which more movies can be made. Will they pull the plug or not depends on money, of course.

Of course, same. But I just don't see how Batman has a bigger role in this.

Let's stick to discussing Suicide Squad

Glorious.

I thought Batfleck was the best Batman ever in BvS.

However, in just these few scenes I think version looks to be better.

Crazy.

Maybe if Ben doesn't direct the solo Batman movie he can get Ayer.

I didn't even know you'd said anything about 2 billion. I wasn't talking about that. I was talking about your rebuttal comment to Rowsdower about it never going to happen that JL or Batfleck's solo could get hammered or under perform, and WB could pull the plug and reboot.

The most unlikely scenarios happened with BvS. Even the fiercest of detractors never saw them coming. So my point again is don't be so certain of what can and cannot happen. Fans, Snyder, and WB most of all just learned that the hard way.

Posting etiquette wasn't really what I was talking about either. But lets be honest, disrespecting posts goes both ways. Probably more so with the supporter side of Snyder. If you've been around the BvS forums you've seen how many supporters of it got banned for going nuclear over the criticisms it's been getting.

The mods even had to shut down the positive thread for a while because they were using it as a haven to insult the detractors of the movie. That's why it's got a warning post on it's first page now telling people to keep the discussion clean and strictly about the movie.

As for the future of DCEU, I'm already happy I get Harley origin film and the trilogy of Zack, as well as established foundation of DCEU, from which more movies can be made. Will they pull the plug or not depends on money, of course.

Exactly. Which was my point to you. We all learned after BvS that major success is not a guarantee. Even when you put two huge icons like Batman and Superman together in a movie, and Batman on his own can pull in a billion twice in a row. BvS should have been coasting it's way easily to a billion or more. Not struggling in the 800 mil range and losing weekend box office to Melissa McCarthy!

So saying it's never going to happen was deja vu to the last 12 months when fans were so certain that BvS was going to be a billion dollar movie, and the highest CBM grosser of the year. You may not have liked how Rowsdower phrased his post, but his point was valid.

You mean the first movie where he literally risked the lives of everyone on the planet to selfishly save the girl he loved... you know the one he'd known for about a week?

Or the second movie, where he ran away from a fight with Zod, Ursa and Non, leaving them to do god know's what damage to Metropolis while he flew back to the Fortress of Solitude, then tricking them to becoming powerless before killing them all? Oh and beating up a normal guy for macho revenge when he got his powers back?

You mean that reputation? :cwink:

I'd argue it was Batman, who pulled 1 bil. twice in a row. The first time it was the Joker, the second time it was the film by the guy, who made film about the Joker. And Inception.

Glad it was deja vu for you. My post to Rowsdower! wasn't about that entirely. I explained it, not gonna repeat myself. It's all there. We don't have conflicting points on the subject, so I don't think we need to ague about anything. I didn't follow BvS boards, because my hype was here, so I have no idea what people predicted. I personally expected it to do good, but it didn't do good enough, it seems. At least they returned it's budget. Let's see how SS, WW and JL perform.

Exactly... Downward spiral... Finally Superman faces actual problems in a realistic world, the whole DCEU rotates around him and god knows where he will lead JL in future films...

Fun trailer right there!! Seems like a great balance of humor and dark&gritty to me so in love that.

Things still revolving around Superman is great

I love the new trailer. Although I've loved all the trailers for this.

Is it just me or does Batfleck look real skinny?
