Like many people I assume Ayer didn't even see Pan, so he didn't even know the song was in that movie. However Bohemian Rhapsody and Ballroom Blitz were both in Wayne's World.

Probably because it's a flashback this is the pre-BvS Batman before he went over the edge following the Metropolis incident. Less extreme.

Based on the end of BvS, it seems we'll be seeing this type of Batman in the other post-BvS films coming up.
