Suicide Squad: General Discussion and Speculation - - - - Part 21

That Joker profile above actually plays into something I've been thinking about.

What if instead of the metal being fused to the Joker's teeth (as some have speculated), what if the Joker wears full-blown dentures stylized with metal bits?

The reason I speculate this is because it looks like he wears two different types of teeth in this film. In the first image of the Joker revealed, there are still white bits of the teeth exposed. But in the scenes with him wearing the tuxedo, his teeth look completely metal.

If they were removable grillz, Arkham staff would have confiscated them as soon as he arrived, so it wouldn't make sense that he'd be wearing them while having a session with Harley. But if those are his actual teeth, I don't believe prisons/hospitals can legally take dental appliances away.

Press screenings for the UK might be a couple days before releases like BvS but release dates globally haven't been released yet so who knows.

By "fake teeth" I think they confiscated those dentures with little feet that walk when you crank them up, like the ones you had to collect in the first Arkham Asylum.

I guess we'll see.

ALSO

I know it's a homage to TDK, but I find it weird that they felt the need to confiscate the lint LOL.

Slipknot: "He's not exactly the luckiest guy"

Can they be more obvious? lol

I haven't read much Suicide Squad, but is it true that Deadshot and Captain Boomerang would fight a lot over leadership roles? Because if it is, judging by the profile, we may see some of that in the movie.

It happened in the new 52 Suicide Squad.

There's a bit of tension in New 52. I'm two volumes into the Ostrander run, but Boomerang really doesn't want anything to do with the team. He'd rather be out drinking and womanizing. Bronze Tiger had to track down Boomerang and get him blackout drunk to get him on the team for their odyssey into hell to deal with the Incubus.

Have you read the one where Waller dropped him off on a deserted island because he raised his voice to her?

Gotta love that Ostrander camp.

I may have, not sure. That incident where Boomerang woke up in hell and then tried to pass out on the spot when he realized where he was got a good laugh out of me. What's interesting is, I didn't know El Diablo made it into the old Squad comics. I thought he was an addition for New 52.

The El Diablo in the movie (and from the New 52) has no relation to the old El Diablo.

I need to get my brick and mortar to order the next couple of Ostrander volumes. This group, the Jihad is interesting. I'd take Basilisk from New 52 - the costumes and all - and give them to Jihad's M.O. for the DCEU.

Gotta love that Ostrander camp.

There were also those moments where Boomerang threw pies in people's faces.

On Collider Heroes Jon Schnepp and crew were discussing Suicide Squad.

Schnepp chimed in and said

So it appears we're definitely getting Ayer's theatrical version unlike with Snyder.

This is what got me a bit hyped. Perhaps WB won't interfere too much

I'm surprised the Purple Lambo song wasn't released.. The music video was scheduled for tomorrow according to that Kev Weaver a while back, unless it got delayed.

Here's the leader of Basilisk, from the New 52 Suicide Squad comics:

This is the guy/organization I was thinking might make for a fun sequel.

It's real, they've been posting the covers for each single before they release the new video.
