One part of the trailer that some people say is dumb is the beginning when the guy gives that scenario about Superman kidnapping the President and the reason people think it's dumb is that the Squad is supposed to be a possible response to a rouge Superman even though nobody on the Squad could stop him. In BvS the government knows that Superman is a good guy but what they don't like about him is that he acts on his own. I think that the rouge Superman idea isn't that the government would have needed someone that could have fought back against Superman and win, but that scenario is that they can't control Superman and stop him from doing something like that in the first place and the Squad would be their response to Superman because they are a group of people that the government is in control of.

i guess its just the david ayer way of doin movies , bradd pitt & jon Bernthal talked about it when they did Fury, lets just say its make it more realistic

I thought that part was about Enchantress since she did defeat all members of the JL and Supes is vulnerable to magic

That sounds cool if you're not just joking. As to the rest, its easy really - at the end of the day its fake.

Tacit, I did like the question that they posed about Supes in the White House. That kind of plotting is what I'm looking forward to in the DCEU. It may be that they cut something out, or it may be that they found something in the ruins June appears to be exploring related to magic and Kryptonians. The storyline related to this question is what I'm excited about.

It could also be that they needed someone ruthless like the squad that would have no qualms about going after Supes' family and friends to get him to back down (if he had gone rogue).

Add the fact that they have superpowers and they're completely expendable. The government won't bat an eye if the members die while on a mission.
