From what I've read it seems like the script is the problem? I found that to be the case with BvS too. DC and WB need to find themselves some better writers ASAP, or they need to get directors that can elevate sub-standard material.

They should hire a writer who has won an Oscar, oh wait...

what kinda killed my buzz for this movie was watching an assortment of clips. the attempts at humor seemed really forced and flat, didn't give me a good feeling, but i genuinely enjoy bvs, so i'm still gonna try and see this with an open mind... which at this point will be whenever it hits video.

For what its worth, it seems like the actual characters and actors themselves are pretty good....right? Its mainly the story thats the issue?

And this is why opening weekends can become inflated and we see massive drop offs.

Well, you are right. However, 1 of those 3 screenings is after the OW. Not much of big difference, I guess.

One of the reviews mentions there not being enough time for all the characters.

Is the length of the film already out in the wild?

We'll see. As far as I'm concerned another mixed or flat out negative response can't happen. The DC brand can't afford another hit.

You were saying. :(

This is not a unknown unknown. The only reason to doubt a critics intention is bizarre conspiracy theories. Occam's Razor.

Or, critics have no idea what the hell they're talking about.

Just like they didn't know what they were talking about with MOS or BVS.

My theater says 2 hours, 3 minutes.

Dude I hardly care about reviews I don't even care what people say in them. These reviews aren't going to make me not see the movie or get my hopes down that's the way I am on pretty much any movie I see. If it looks good and I want to see it I go see it and don't let reviews sway me.
Which is of course fine. But the idea that a well reviewed movie shouldn't garn attention is rather strange.

Well... at the very least, the score is steadily climbing as more reviews come it. It might be too much to hope for a fresh rating, but maybe somewhere north of 50%?

I believe the length is out there. It's a little over two hours. I think it's 2 hours and 3 mins? Don't quote me but that's what I believe I saw recently.

No, the critics knew what the hell they were talking about with BvS.

Or just look at the recent Ghostbusters, to see people rating it higher to avoid being called sexist. Which is not a "bizarre conspiracy theory".

That would mean none of us know what we are talking about, because well we are all human beings. Except of course most critics see a lot more film.
