the problem is dc/wb are forcing this universe instead of letting it happen organically like marvel did

they have no one in charge to tell someone NO lets not do that like marvel telling whedon NO to Wasp in avengers or marvel dropping edgar wright for not adhering to their vision

Completely right, If only the X-men had origin movies for each character that franchise would still be going today.....

**** watching this premiere...they are all such nice, enthusiastic people, they don't deserve this :/

The X-Men have always and will always be an ensemble. It's not comparable.

What exactly is organically though? One solo at a time?
I have a hard time believing it can't be done any other way.

Well for one Marvel didn't announce 10 movies after making just 1 film. They only started the announcing future films in phase 2. WB made Man of Steel a film which had almost no references to a larger universe and then they announced BvS and 9 movies following that.

That's one of the biggest shames about the DCEU. The cast of actors in them are all good, solid and enthusiastic actors, and they deserve better than this.

i just hate that they forced the universe to catch up to marvel and i have always hated that idea

they didn't need to catch up to marvel the were already 5 years behind when MOS came out they just need to do them and pay attention to themselves there was no need to rush

eh, they got paid handsomely, clearly had a great time filming and made friends, and ultimately good or bad non of them had any creative control over the finished product to be considered at fault or accountable. they will all be just fine.

Yeah..After BvS I sort of wanted a reboot of the DCEU, but I think they've cast the roles pretty well so I'd hate to lose Cavill, Affleck, Ezra, etc. Maybe some sort of soft reboot could be in store?

Yeah, it's kind of sad. WB wasted this cast.

Yea, I love the casting in DCEU. I hope this version of DCEU will get up with WW and JL and these people will get another chances in future films.

Margot was my pick for harley before we even knew about a suicide squad movie

a shame that her cinematic debut had to happen like this. At least theres the bat solo.

Agree. The idea is fine, just struggling in the execution. Need better movies.

Like I said they should do a Flashpoint movie and reboot everything and keep the cast. That way they can all play classic versions of their characters.

Let's hope Affleck can salvage Croc, Deadshot and Joker for his solo movie.

Marvel's Cinematic Universe did not happen "organically," The first phase in the MCU is just as guilty of forced world building. Thor, The Incredible Hulk and Iron Man 2 were all awful and only existed to justify the Avengers. Tony Stark at the end of the Incredible Hulk and Fury and Widow in IM2 are just as forced as anything that we have seen in the DCEU. The only reason they get a pass is they did it first and for the most part have learned from those mistakes.

At least Momoa is having fun at the premier:

Fortunately, she doesn't seem to be one of the problems. It sucks that the narrative around her character is lacking, but she's definitely made an impression on her own.

well he should be look at the WB films under Kevin Tsujihara's reign as president since Jan. 2013

Man of Steel (June 14, 2013) -- greenlit long before his tenure.

Only Transcendence (released April 18, 2014), Jupiter Ascending (February 6, 2015), 300: Rise of an Empire (March 7, 2014), The Hobbit -- The Desolation of Smaug (13 December 2013), The Hobbit -- The Battle of the Five Armies (17 December 2014), Pan (October 9, 2015), BvS (March 25, 2016), Suicide Squad (August 5, 2016) fall under his full reign.
