Ben, what have you done to your face?!

Looks like Ezra is the star of the premiere.

Saw it, liked it. Not a stellar movie but not bad either, definitely better than BvS. At least Margot is cute as all hell as HQ, I guess I'm easy to please. I didn't understand people complaining about the Joker's performance either.

So I was planning on seeing this in XD (aka IMAX lite), but It looks like I'm gonna check it out in a regular theater matinee time. Anyone else did something similar?

How was Deadshot, Killer Croc, and Diablo?

Funny thing is I haven't seen fans hate the movie much on twitter. They haven't said it was great, but a fun time.

Thank you, Kathemy. How is the Joker overall? Is he cool? People complain about him having not enough screen time as well.

I think Ben has been hitting the Xanax pretty hard ever since the BvS reviews hit. Seriously, he's looked like this ever since the "Sad Affleck" interview.

Make sure you watch Batman v Superman first before seeing the movie :woot::cwink::sly:

Don't let critics make you pay less for this movie man. Make up your own mind and pay more.

Yep. I was going to go all out with a luxury screen at one of London's high falutin' special cinema screens, but now I think it's a matinee tomorrow at the Odeon for me.

I did the same for BvS. Had the first imax showing at my local theater (25 a ticket!) and downgraded to a regular matinee that cost 6 bucks.

The way I feel right now, if I hadn't already bought tickets on Monday, I might just wait until my next Transatlantic flight to watch this movie.

They need to stop being reactionary on all of these films. If every film is trying to "make up" for the perceived flaws of the last one, then that's a terrible way to build a universe long-term.

Also if the reports are to be believed, then maybe, just maybe WB got this a bit backwards. Perhaps a character like Superman is better suited for a more fun, upbeat, optimistic movie, while a bunch of murderers, psychos, and criminals are better suited for a darker and grittier one. Imagine that.

I thought the end of Dawn of Justice was upbeat. The people of Earth realized that Superman was a hero in deed, plus Supes saved Batman/Bruce from that downward spiral we found him in at the movie's beginning. Unconventional upbeat, I'll give you that - but I'd prefer this sort of optimism to the same old heroics we tend to get in these movies.

You're on point with your assessment of how these movies should be approached. Something tailored to each character, as opposed to a one-size-fits-all kind of thing.

@Rows: I'm still catching this one on the IMAX. I sat out for BvS (partly reviews, partly RL circumstances) and ended up enjoying the hell out of it.

Well for one Marvel didn't announce 10 movies after making just 1 film. They only started the announcing future films in phase 2. WB made Man of Steel a film which had almost no references to a larger universe and then they announced BvS and 9 movies following that.
I still remember back in the day, when the announcements weren't made, the motto was "DC has no plan". Now here we are today, and those same people are probably saying "stop trying to play catch up". This fandom gets more entertaining everyday.
Yeah..After BvS I sort of wanted a reboot of the DCEU, but I think they've cast the roles pretty well so I'd hate to lose Cavill, Affleck, Ezra, etc. Maybe some sort of soft reboot could be in store?
Since Snyder is probably gonna take a back seat, I say they just go full Rebirth and bring Watchmen into the DCEU :funny:
Every time I start feeling bad about the cast, I try to remember this.

Also, this film isn't gonna tank their careers.

I just wish Will and Margot would star in a critically acclaimed film together. I think they have good chemistry.
Didn't they already do that with Focus?
Hopefully only BvS and SS that need to do the heavy lifting for the universe building.
As a fan of the DCEU, I feel the same. WW seems to be getting back to basics with an origin story, and JL is just a continuation of what's established, so hopefully we'll start getting an up trend with reception (although technically, going from BvS 27% to SS 33% is already an up trend of sorts :funny:)
This whole "catching up with Marvel" thought process over at WB is mainly the major cause of those two films being overstuffed to holy hell, they're multiple stories trapped into a single film desperately trying to advance its universes course in order to catch up with the competition rather than telling a great coherent story.

DC and WB should've built this universe at a steady pace rather than putting all their eggs into one basket every couple of months starting last March.

But ironically that reasoning is kind of why i'm still excited for the Wonder Woman film, because it's an origin story set decades before the events of all their other films rather than being another overstuffed world builder.

Hope i'm right about that though, because i'll be damned if WB royally screws up a female superhero film with so much potential and hype.
WW seems to have a lot of things going for it:
- A back to basics origin story
- WonderGal, one of the few things that's been well received in the DCEU as a whole
- A more vibrant color pallette for the appropriate scenes from what it seems in the trailers
- Patty Jenkins didn't insult Marvel
- Possible SJW armor
- The one movie where it can officially say they did it first before Marvel
- According to Jenkins, this film will be tonally more hopeful and compassionate in contrast to today's more cynical world

Of course all that can go to **** with some studio meddling

Yeah I have my issues with it but I really enjoyed it so it sucked to see when the reviews come out and it's getting sickening and just making me boil up reading some of the dumb stuff I see people saying, I've been trying to stick away but I've been checking up on these forums and other places every day leading up to release so it's hard not to.
The issue now is that WB may panic again.

It wouldn't surprise me if they retroactively make Leto's Joker Jason Todd now. As crazy as that sounds.

Ayer, I guess expecting the criticism, said in a recent interview that you never know and he might be Todd down the road.

He said that sarcastically, but almost like "you never know with WB" :cmad::csad:

Ben is like: "I hope you don't plan on sending me any used condoms or dead rats when we start production on my movie."

This just in: Wonder Woman script written in two days :o

Where is Adam Beach? Our favorite character isn't represented.

Momoa looks enthusiastic as ****.
