Greens might be referring more to the whole "Harley and Joker are estranged because of it" thing.

Assuming the relationship between Harley and the Joker is an important aspect of the film, creating conflict between the two over an event that we never saw and making that a driving point could complicate things more than they really need to be.

If this all does pan out, then an adaptation of Under the Red Hood for the Batman solo may be the likely course.

I'm a little baffled by the idea that Harley would be troubled by the Joker killing ANYBODY. She's a psychopath too people. Why would this be a bone of contention between them?

because jason had nice panties, and while killing him, the joker dirtied them.

We'll get offical casting announcement's later in the week or start of next when shooting begins.

I was thinking the same thing. Really, it brings the whole rumor into question. That and El Mayimbe of course.

Yeah, that's what I meant. I get that this universe shows Batman late in the game, but creating all this backstory that could have been films on their own? Seems more like fan service to me.

I could be wrong. Jason Todd was only the second Robin so it's not that weird. Maybe he was the only Robin in this universe.

Even though it's only a rumor about Batman being in the movie, but I wan something like this to happen.

If the rumors are true, it's interesting how SS would be what really opens up the film universe. Not Batman. Not Superman. Suicide Squad.

It's a great idea in my eyes, DC tends to excel at villains so having a group of them being a big part of one of the first DCU movies will open up the world in a very different way to how Marvel did it.

Suicide Squad is going to be bigger than people are expecting. The potential of cameos from so many villain alone shows that.

If DC can even half succeed in making their heroes as fun and entertaining as their villains, they'll be in a prime position to have audiences be engaged with all their roster.

Marvel utterly fails with their baddies (with a few exceptions), but they get away with it because their protagonists are oozing with personality.

I hope Digger is every bit the mouthy jerk he is in the comic.

It's a fair concern. If done the right way, I think they can pull it off to great effect. But it's a fine line to be sure.

Still, having Jason's costume in the background of the Batcave as a glorified Easter egg of sorts is one thing. But if his existence is actually used as a plot point between two characters? Makes me think they're going to do something with Jason down the road. If this rumor turns out to be true, it makes me very curious.

I think starting Batman off in the later years of his career may be the best decision for the character in relation to a Justice League franchise. He's older and all but empty-nested, and now he's suddenly thrust into a world of metahumans. It shakes up the status quo of a character who is pretty much set in his ways and difficult for others to work with long-term. Having a Batman that is pretty young and having him be a part of the Justice League while also trying to get him through various personal sidekicks at the same time might be biting off more than they can chew.

I feel like the easter egg of jasons suit could very well happen and could lead to the next batflick being an under the red hood inspired story. But the whole thing about it causing tension between harley and joker sounds very made up.
