Take away the scars, and I think you've got a very stylish look like most of us are expecting. Though I'm thinking a white suit like DKR is likely.

I really dont feel like we're getting the white tdkr suit. Or if he does have it msybe it'll be one of many costume changes. His iconic purple would be a much better choice imo.

I still think they could give him an unnaturally pale but not white skin-tone without the red lips in jail, where the Joker look is more suggested than clearly made up. Then, once he escapes, he can use pure white makeup and red lipstick to get his iconic look. Maybe his hair's still dyed but not combed or styled until he breaks out too.

On the most recent Meet the Movie Press, Jeff Sneider is saying Jim Parrack is playing Jonny Frost in the film. That character was in Azzarello's Joker graphic novel.

Suicide Squad is officially in a weird place now. See... I was expecting SS to very much have a Deadpool tone (In the same way the current Harley Quinn run is DC's version of Deadpool). All of my predictions of its massive success were based on that expectation because I think the itch people want scratched is two hours of utter power fantasy and mindless delight in violence and excess, "But they're working for the good guys so it's okay."

If SS insists on going serious, it may be the darkest movie of the entire DCCU. Dark enough to make even people who like dark say it's too dark.

Scott Eastwood is Hal Jordan. He'll have a small role in Suicide Squad, but it'll go a long way to establish the character before Justice League is out. Perhaps at the very end of the movie, Eastwood's Hal discovers Abin Sur

Manganiello keeps denying he was up for Deathstroke, but says he was discussing another role in the movie. Maybe Manganiello was up for Hal Jordan.

Think about it, Manganiello was on the shortlist for both Superman and Batman. It'd make sense that he'd be considered for Hal Jordan.

That is funny....I was thinking the same the other night!

It's really not random. Ss is a government centric movie, Hal has ties to the Us government, he's generally considered the best pilot on the planet.

Plus Hal was associated with the Suicide Squad In the new frontier

The idea is that it would be a small role, pre GL, just to mainly establish the character before Justice League. We've already gotten the other 6 members all but confirmed to make appearances in BVS . It makes perfect sense to give Hal a small role in SS and it ingrains the character into the universe in a way that wouldn't be contrived

Eh... I think they're trying to go guns and fists and bloody guts with this. Magic rings and tentacled aliens and green glowing stuff kinda stands out in a bad way.

SS will be a part of the expanded DCCU. One of its title characters is enchantress. So the likelihood that we'll see super powers is plenty high. So if any hero shows up with super power. Its not going to stand out too much. As for tone, it wont be like deadpool. Nor should it be.

Eastwood isn't going to be Hal Jordan. None of the later castees are going to be playing anyone particularity important. Besides why would they cast Jordan now with a GL solo movie years away with no attached director or screenwriter?

But there is apparently a huge need to believe that a throwaway late casting for this movie will be someone they plan to use as a major franchise player under different directors going forward.
