I really want to know who's playing Deathstroke.

Joe Manganiello (who was in the final two for Superman) is said to be up for it.

I think you mean, Batman barely surviving an encounter to fight another day. That would be "comic accurate" despite what Batfans would likely say.



Still, other than rumor we have no real evidence that Slade is in this at all. I think some fans think that simply because Harley is in this that it's taking most or all it's cues from the recent books. I think they will be surprised at how little the current DC books actually influence the DCCU. Oh it will be a mix of influences for sure, but that's just it. A mix. It won't lean too heavily on the New 52 most likely. Thus... I don't expect Deathstroke in this first film.

haha As soon as I submitted that post I though, "Oh damn, I'm gonna get some flack for that statement. I've played how I want the scene to go so many times in my head it ain't funny.

The only reason I thought about Deathstroke being in BvS is because of how I want Bats to be introduced, and that is by having him take down someone from his rogues gallery, someone not too well known like Joker or Rah's, but mostly someone who can actually open up a can of whoopass on the Bat, so I figured Slade would be the best candidate for the job.

Comic accurate isn't always the best thing.

The arkham origins had a pretty sound batman/deathstroke execution imo.

I loved the DS/BAT fight in that Arham'Arkham's game trailer with Deadshot and Black Mask. Just saying though, Slade in a fight would really be like Batman fighting a combination of Captain America and Wolverine with the heartless attitude that goes with being the most ruthless and cunning assassin in the world if you want to give a great character like Deathstroke his due in his first big screen appearance.

I'd agree to a point. I mean I great up reading Dixon's run on nightwing, and Deathstroke to him was everything you are saying. But then again, what exactly is Batman to someone like Nightwing? Point being, Batman's big screen debut(as far as I'm concerned) needs to be given it's due as well.

Batman fighting cap or wolverine would be pretty tough but, wiping the floor with bat's is never sure thing. Regardless of steriods and meta boosts. Just look at court of owls.
It boils down to asking yourself just what happens when Shiva faces off against Cap or Wolverine. The answer being, not a sure bet.

I get what you're sayng Krypton. Its probably best to leave Deathstroke.But if they don't realky have big solo plans for the character it would be a great way to introduce this new Batman. Showing off this batmans fighting skill and gadgetry should be one of the first things they show of this new bat

Bit off topic considering we're in the SS thread but....imagine if Luthor actually is the only big bad? Like no Metallo or anyone else? Could that work?

I doubt they go only with him. Only if he watches and manipulates things for Batman and Superman fight. But we may need some other "ally" with Luthor, you know, even Wonder Woman will be here. And we aren't sure he's the villain of BvS. He may be in the shadows or another character, you know developing him.

As for Deathstroke vs Batman. I would like that to happen in BvS. I agree that Batman has almost a little no chance against Deathstroke, but that's the thing and the challenge. I wouldn't see him moping the floor with Bats. Bats training and he would have an ace under his sleve that will make the battle formidable but in the end he will realize that he only can slow him down and at the course of the battle Deathstroke would be the winner and put Bats in a reall challenge. That's the best thing about Slade vs Bats. Because at first sight you would think he has no chance, and he may not defeat him, but he can trick him or slowing down until his goal is finished. But I wouldn't say they would plasm Deathstroke as invincible or really depower him at the level of Bats, they need to put him as one of the most formidable villains on Earth.

I want Focus to do good more so for that Acme movie than for SS.

It'll probably be able to bring in 175 mil. Not setting the world on fire but it'll make money.

Yeah, that would be my guess. Joker is a wild card who has his own interests at heart.
