This is what some of us were saying. Flagg's origin and Deadshot's origin is more relevant to the movie than origin of Harley Quinn.

I am not sure an Ayer directed SS film is going to have Harley Quinn knocking around in her jester outfit for the majority of this film's running time, based on his previous work. I DO see him wanting to chronicle her descent into full on co-dependent madness to give us a fully formed Harley by the start of the finale.

Yup. Guarantee the conflict/relationship between Flagg Jr. and Deadshot will be a key conflict for the first third or two of the movie.

Good point. Part of it could be Flagg sees the squad as soldiers for the greater good, but Deadshot sees them as no more than hired guns or puppets.

In the comics Flagg and Lawton have a tense relationship at first but it changes over time to a strange brotherly thing given Lawton's family. Of course that's no guarantee of anything since their film character back grounds could be way different.

Well, the character did have a connection to The Jihad/Onslaught. IF there is any basis for this, IF it is true then perhaps that's what the Squad is going up against? I kinda wish there was A Kobra connection or presence, but that is just my druthers.
