I did like that moment
Where she was on top of the car and that transition between super sad to trying to put the happy facade. Great performance overall.

Oh! And Deadshot on top of the car doing his Deadshot things. I love it. One of my favorite parts in the movie. Very superhero like.

That was the best acted moment in the film and would still be in first version
- she believes Joker is dead at that point he just shows up with grenade later.

I'm happy this movie has legs. Maybe WB will realize they will make more money when they make good movies...

Not so fast there, they are reporting now that there was a 40% HUGE drop from friday to saturday. This to me is actually a good thing, I didn't want WB to gain false confidence from the BO.

What is the actual BO gross for Saturday?

Lol oops I meant to say I'm happy it DOESNT have legs. **** this movie and the fact that WB think we are so stupid that we will pay to watch a bad movie just because it has JOKER!!! And HARLEY!!!! That's not enough.

Yeah, Harley on top of the car in the rain is a beautiful moment. It feels like it almost doesn't fit in with the rest of the film it's so well done. That's the kind of potential this movie had.

The "...you're my friend too" scene is also brilliantly acted. It's a shame we couldn't see more of Robbie interacting with Leto. We get so very little. They are so passionate for each other but it's just not earned within the film.

Reading the novelization actually makes me angry, lol. There's so much more stuff between Harley and Joker. Some really good dialogue.

details man, don't be stingy. i'm looking for it online but nothing so far. is the ebook officially out ?

lol I thought that comment seem odd. I love what is going on the DCEU right now, but great movies can be destroyed by horrible technical issues, which is exactly what we are seeing here.

The car chase is extended. Before Batman comes in, there's a conversation between the two in the car. And as I quoted, some lines between Batman and Harley.

In this, the scenes are actual SCENES. Not quick 30 second flashbacks. Actual, full scenes. The original dinner table conversation with Waller is in it too. The one that was teased in the Comic-Con trailer. She doesn't rattle off the whole list of Squad members. She mentions Diablo and Enchantress.

"Why the favor, Bats?" she asked.
Batman glowered at her. "Joker took something important away from me,'' he growled. "It's my turn."

Goddammit.

GODDAMMIT!

Did they actually shoot these scenes with all that dialogue?

I'm not sure because novelizations aren't always 100% accurate to the script, but some of the additional stuff I'm reading we saw in the early trailers. The "hope you got insurance" line is there, Waller's talk about Superman being a beacon, Deadshot looking at the rain in his cell. Plus Leto said that they shot a lot of footage. So I'm convinced a lot of this was shot and then discarded like a sick dog.

Wb needs to learn a lesson....but ultimately we the fans lose if we never get to see this cast again in these roles. And I REEEALLLY want this cast to get another chance in a sequel. Especially Smith and Robie.

Some of them yeah. I know for sure that all of the Enchantress setup, Joker and Harley backstory stuff was shot.

I don't know about that Batman stuff, but I'd imagine since they spent millions of dollars and several days shooting that flashback, only to use 5 seconds of it. He had scenes with Croc that were cut, so yeah I'd imagine. I could probably find out.

I'm really hoping for a separate "Mad Love" Blu Ray edition, maybe through an online petition to get WB to release a new version, with all this included content.

Theres so much potential here with the stuff they did shoot, people would eat it up.

I remember someone saying the PG-13 could push the boundary a little with the language but no one said the F word in this.
PG-13 movies usually have one or two usages
I believe a lot of the songs played in this movie are uncensored versions no cuts or beeps so that might be why the movie used up its swear quotient

Not sure how they can release a new cut of the film with restored content. Its a basic story change with the reshoots
Joker was involved in the final battle
Joker was not believed to be dead so the final scene would not work as a surprise for Harley

Same here... This film has the most interesting badass cast especially since you've got Smith and Robbie and Leto...

They could make big, big money by releasing the original unmolested cut. It needs to happen.

Right, the music they play during Harleen's dip into the chemicals features the F word. I'd assume that's their usage of it. Theres a use of "freakin" some where else ( I think Flagg says it) that really could have been altered to the more adult version haha. "freakin" just isn't realistic.

I like what you did there...unmolested cut. lols. Sounds like WB freaking arse raped this film to the brink of the final cut being so messy.

I saw this IGN interview with Leto and it just makes me feel sick how Leto was treated. It's ridiculous. That they cut his scenes is bad enough but then spinning so much marketing around him....it's such a joke.

I'm gonna hate myself for using this comparison but I'm hoping this is a Ghostrider situation where the movie makes just enough to greenlight a sequel despite scathing reception and we get a sequel with the same cast but with a brand new director, writer vision etc.
