Also, did anyone notice how bad Kinnaman's acting was in the movie? There's just something that sounds wrong when he tries to deliver an order or intimidates the Squad. Especially when he introduces Katana in the helicopter.

Kinnaman was fine. The lines he had about Katana were basic exposition lines delivered in 90% of action movies. The issue with that scene is how Katana just appears.

the delivery in the katana scene was weak, but overall i like kinnaman in this. he is the straight guy in a movie filled with potencial scene-stealers. it's a hard role to have. and his acting actually made me somewhat care about june moone.

Got back from my second showing.

As a guy who was really disappointed and frustrated with the film the first time I saw it, I have to say....once you know what to expect, it's way easier to just relax and have some fun. Also, I do think this movie will be a huge hit with the younger crowd.

The theatre was packed with school kids and teenagers. And they cheered when the logos started rolling. I have to say, the atmosphere of the audience really does add to the viewing experience. It made the movie that much more enjoyable for what it was. They cheered when Harley Quinn first appeared, there were gasps when Joker first showed his face. The loudest cheers came whenever Batman came on screen.

My issues with the movie still stand, the editing is the worst I've seen, some really cheesy moments and lines. But I somehow managed to enjoy the movie once I knew what to expect. Which was something I did not expect.

I just watched it and I really liked it. BvS UC and MOS are still better movies in my opinion but I had fun watching SS and the experience was really very enjoyable. I got what I was hoping for, an entertaining summer action flick. Having said that WB needs to get their act right real quick because a great deal of potential has been wasted here by cutting key parts of this movie which would have made SS much better. I hope this makes enough money to warrant a sequel because the cast were excellent,they elevated the movie for me.

With the simple and straightforward plot,editing/balancing issues,weak villain and less than impressive third act, I can see where all the criticisms are coming from but still the critics were way too harsh with their reviews. I think this should have been closer to 50-55% on RT. I had a good time and I'll give the movie a solid 7.5.

I had no issue with Kinnaman either for the most part.

But like you said katana just shows up out of no where. She and boomerang could have easily been cut from the movie. They don't end up adding anything to the story.

Boomerang USED to have a lot more lines. Katana was always useless.

David Ayer did confirm that there will be least ten minutes of deleted scenes on the Suicide Squad Blu-Ray, but it seems there was more footage cut than that.

That should have been their original plan to begin with...now it's just all kinda tainted and leaves bad taste with reshoots, deleting stuff, lying to people etc.

Katana's role should of been merged with Scott Eastwood's who was essentially Flag's right hand man.

Yeah I think around 40 minutes were axed, probably as much as half of which contained Joker

Just a few posts and you have already got an official warning and now your second in post acknowledgement in a thread for your attitude. Read around and get used to people before you decide to start a fight with everyone....you may last longer that way.
