Shield being compromised isn't that big of the threat as extermination of human kind. And you would think Batman would think that there is something fishy going on, when they evacuated whole city. Plus I assume that the city all of this took place is somewhere near Gotham, Metropolis or Central city (Idk if the movie mentioned the city they were in). And it had a beam with ruble around it pretty high up to notice it from a far, cause it was glowing too.

And do you think that Batman should've been hunting Joker down? I think Batman could've easily followed Joker to the city.

All in all, I think animated Suicide Squad movie was done better. The fact that none of the actual heroes showed up is a missed opportunity. Think how much more awesome it would've been if Batman figured out about suicide squad and came hunting them. And I am not saying portraying him as main character in that movie, but make him as a background character that does things off screen and appears from time to time to fight suicide squad or something else.

This whole thing is like Iron man 3 all over again, when president of US was kidnapped and Iron man was the only one that cared.

Also, what's up with that soldier carrying deadshots daughter letters on him? I understand having them stored somewhere, but why would he have those on him when going to war basically?

The reason why Rick had those letters on him was pretty self explanatory in the movie. He used it as emotional leverage to get Deadshot to work with him.

I think many people have asked the same question, which I did reply some pages back, why it is not clear is something I don't understand.

Bruce Wayne is talking to Amanda Waller and he says something like "The next time.. let us handle the situation", which indicates that Batman was aware of this situation, not only that, but he must have talked about the whole thing with Amanda Waller before, where she must have replied that she has everything under control and she has a Squad ready to handle the situation, Batman better stay out of this one.

This is why I wished DC skipped the solo sequels.

If the heroes solve every problem what's the use of the military ot the police? He might be looking for AC or Flash. WW is the next movie maybe that will say why the other heroes weren't present

We for one don't know how far Midway City is from Gotham, the 2nd thing is that the Military was already in the city and had it evacuated. 3rd thing is that Bruce and Diana are busy looking for Metas, so they could've been half way around the world while this was happening. Also what was Batman gonna do against a witch anyways even he made it there? He just stood around in the Doomsday fight.

I can't think of any other woman out there who she closely resembles...but it's kinda weird...even Cara....she's weirder lols. But Margot is cuter and well oh man...she's funny.

Waller is in the process of assembling a Squad consisting of criminals and meta humans, it is by no means complete when the Enchantress attacks, in the given situation Waller decides to use Task Force X, that too when the usual military guys fail to recuse her.

And Harley Quinn can use weapons other than baseball bat, like for instance Guns, though they would be useless against Enchantress, but she is expendable.

Plus, Waller needs the SS to rescue her that was the plan initially, they were never sent there to defeat the Enchantress.

The so called "Priceless Artifact" is an enchanted artifact, it can compel Dr. June Moon to open it, so that Enchantress' spirit is set free or maybe Dr. June is inspired by "scientists" who act like scientists of "Prometheus".

Is this even a question ? People in Army are supposed to follow orders, they are not politically correct moralists. Rick Flagg is given a sepicfic mission and he will do whatever it takes to complete it successfully.

1> SS is just a line of defense and Rick Flag always had a group of Navy Seals, Aviation unit and basic soldiers with him. Each member of the Task Force X brings their unique skill set to the table so they are useful one way or the other but they are all expendable.

3> June Moon was under duress from Enchantress and the artifact clearly calls her out to release whatever it is trapped inside of it. Now if we believe in all the magic in the movie, is this really a big stretch.

4> People questioning this need to watch the movie again because when Waller kills them Gov. agents and says that they weren't cleared for any of this , then Rick says to her 'Hey, I'm not judging, I've buried a lot of mistakes too'. Isn't that how he is supposed to react as someone who is a veteran from the military. It's that simple.
