I think in the sequel the Squad should have already completed numerous missions and they get rewarded for each mission to the point that their stay in Belle Reve hardly feels like a prison sentence. Boomerang has a fully stocked bar in his cell and he spends the entire mission drunk.

Honestly, that really should have been the pitch from the getgo. "So, we do jobs for you, and then we can go free?" "Hell no, you've all well earned your multiple life sentences. But if you do the jobs well and survive, you can have a better life in here than you ever had outside, anyway." I mean, gilded cage is still a cage. . . but enough gold and it starts looking appealing.

Sorry who's chanting good riddance? I thought most people here know the flaws and issues behind the scenes and demand the films to be director driven and high quality in the future, while enjoying the movie and the success it's getting.

Just because we, most of us, came out from seeing SS and liking it for the good parts we enjoyed, doesn't mean we don't see its flaws and issues like what Greenlite mentioned in his post. Could the movie itself have been better if WB didn't meddle with the final cut? Absolutely yes! It makes me mad when I read about the behind the scenes and it shows - thing is, the fact that we know what really happened, it kind of takes away the amount of work and effort the cast and crew did to try to make this project come together. Screw recasting - and as for the script, yeah it wasn't perfect but you can thank WB for giving the director a matter of six weeks to write it. That's not a lot of time. It would have been better enough if someone else was on board in the writing department with Ayer.

I doubt now that WB would consider changing their approach - I mean...I'd hate to see Wonder Woman suffer the same bloody crap the other three films faced. Like what Greenlite said, I too am prepared for Gal and Patty to get slaughtered by the critics next year...but as for Justice League...well, meh.

Please WB...don't screw it up again. Pretty, pretty, pretty please...

Did any of you guys notice Joker beating up someone with the baseball bat in the background of the scene when the Joker's thugs are strapping Harley into the chair in Arkham Asylum?

I remembered the set pic of him holding the baseball bat, and looked out for it. You can see him bashing someone or something on the ground while they strap her in. Makes me really mad thinking about how much footage there really is out there. It looked like it had the potential to be a really intense scene for him. Sigh.

Yeah you can also see him beating someone up in one of the trailers. I think in novelization he beats several people to death with that bat. Dammit, WB.

Huh, but I prefer Harley+BOP, and SS2, I don't want SS2 to have Harley/Joker arc and then gets cut again. Unless they like put the cut scenes into SS2.

If they do hold back JL2, then 2018 we have 3 slots for Flash, Aquaman, ________, and 2019 _________, and create a new date for _________ (shazam is not made by WB). Fill the blanks.

They could fit Harley in Oct 2018, Batman and MOS2 in 2019. Cyborg/GL/WW2 for 2020. If Harley's hot then maybe SS2 in 2020 and push Cyborg or GL back.

Has Flash got a date yet?

Edit: Hughes says there's strong support for more than 1 spin off, ok. Enchantress - afterlife? I think it must be one for Harley and one for Will Smith (called SS2?)

On a serious note, I've got a feeling that WB would fast track the potential BOP/GCS movie or whatever the Harley spinoff is supposed to be, she really is a hot property for WB and she sells like hot cakes, a 2019 release for the Harley movie is not totally out of question.

WB are releasing their top of the rung or the most ambitious DCEU movies in that November slot, so in 2019 it's either gonna be JL2 or I could see MOS 2 being fast tracked in that slot. Although New Line is releasing Shazam but still I don't think WB will release another DCEU movie in 2019.

Dude, Davis got great reviews across the board. The fact that the movie is critically devisive doesn't detract from that.

Also, lots and lots of money. I'm sure non of them are losing any sleep over it. Leto has legitamate concernes as they cut a lot of his screen time and probably changed the overall brutality and complexety of his character and portrail with all those cuts.

So I was finally able to watch this movie......

Comic book movie 2.0... **** Marvel... This is for the fans... Used condoms... WHAT. A. DUMPSTER. WILDFIRE.

I'm feeling ill after watching it. I'm trying to gather my thoughts. I'm in a meltdown mode. You had an absolute winner on your hands. It had a fresh concept for CBM genre. The movie didn't require to setup anything. It didn't have to compete or prove anything. It didn't have to live up to expectations... Pathetic. No imagination, no character development, no action and that villain... I don't even want to say anything good about the movie, it had some good stuff too, because I'm so frustrated and angry. The experience wasn't as painful as, say, Catwoman. Still, it's a trash. I don't regret spending money on it only for two reasons - cast (minus Leto) and I still believe DCEU deserves other chances to get it right.

Ayer, you should be kissing Marvel's feet, because they're so far beyond your level. Stay off freaking CBM sets, you *****.

First Shazam is in the DCEU that was confirmed.So they wont change that date.The one slot in 2018 will probably go to Batman.The one slot in 2019 i'm hoping for MOS 2.The slot in 2020 I'm hoping for goes to either SS2/ or a Harley spinoff(BoP movie).They can add more dates or cancel other movies(Cyborg/JL 2,but I dont think that will happen).

100 % agree with your opinion! I was in the same state of mind after watching this horrible dumb **** movie yesterday! Everyone involved should just hide deeply in a hole and hide the hole!

But don't worry, it will only take you 25 minutes to forget that you ever saw this movie. There is nothing in it that will stay in your mind. The experience of this movie is so empty and deflating that it will just vanish from your memory in a couple of minutes.

Maybe enjoy your anger and nausea these are the only emotions this movie is able to produce successfully!

I always wonder how a movie director can actually forget to have a script when he/or she starts shooting a movie. "Oh no, I came unprepared, what am I going to do?"

Btw in the same interview,Ayer talks about how world ending threats have become too routine and they want to avoid that,but they did exactly that?Maybe thats what they changed with the reshoots after taking input from the audience? :/
