I feel they focus too much on trying to be Batman while neglecting traits that separate him from Batman. Hell, one of the showrunners even tweeted how they see him as nothing more than a Batman ripoff so I guess that's to be expected.

I can understand that to an extent since GA was originally a Batman copy, but for better or worse I think they did some stuff to differentiate him from Bruce. His "playboy" personality was sincere whereas Bruce's is mostly just a façade. His style and aesthetic is different

and most importantly he has a family; a mother and sister still living which creates a different dynamic compared to Bruce.

I love Green Arrow, but the TV series isn't really Green Arrow unfortunately!
It seems pretty obvious they wanted to make a Batman series, but couldn't get the rights, so they made Arrow and made him like Bats... even using one of his main villains in the storyline!

I really think that's the least of the show's problems.

It's funny how people criticize Arrow for using Batman villains, but are okay with Daredevil using a Spider-Man villain :P

Hoping for something similar to how it was done there.

I liked the surrogate brother bond between Deadshot and Flagg in the comics.

Glad the words he has for Fukuhara's Katana. She's a beauty and hope she does the character justice.

So in order for him to praise Suicide Squad he must be pissing all over Arrow? I think you guys are reading too much into that tweet.

I like Arrow, but I have to admit this season was very average. I hope the season 4 is more like 3.

I'd really like to see Oliver. I am quite fond of the character ever since "JL: Animated Series".

I liked what they've done with Arrow's but can't wait to see the more funny, playboy, amusing and charismatic Green Arrow as in that series. I loved him.

I know but it's not the same. That's an event, Daredevil faces almost all the time with Kingpin. However I really like that Ras can take on Green Arrow, it fits too.. Green Arrow is a philantropist and face with the head of the League of Assasains is really interesting.. but I think no matter if Kingpin started with Spidey... Daredevil is more with Kingpin than it's with Spider-man.

Green Arrow's rogues gallery, kind of sucks. He's got Merlyn, Count Vertigo, and maybe Komodo (in the New 52) and that's about it. All of which have been used on the show. Plus, Ra's is a big enough threat that he doesn't need to be an exclusively Batman villain. His plans tend to be global in scale, and he's tangled with Superman, Wonder Woman, and the JL before in the comics.

Not because of the show, which is garbage. I just think it's a cool idea. Would love to see more Batman/Green Arrow stories in the comics too.
