The tattoos, the jewelry, the accessories, the poor hair color, etc. He honestly comes off more like some wannabe drug dealer that thought it would be badass to dress like the Joker to me (like a poser playing dress up). I just don't find it "natural" or appealing, and I know those are odd terms to use while discussing the Joker, but man they're trying way too hard.

sorry it's not working for you. i guess i'm easy. i see jared leto in white skin, red lips, green hair and a suit and it's the joker for me. i'll never care for the tattoos and would personally love to see a dick sprang inspired joker, that would be a real twist in today's world, but i'm really excited to see leto in this role.

and i agree with whoever said ledger looked more like a juggalo.

Yep... Heath's make up was far more juggalo than Leto!

I wouldn't mind all the tattoos, but don't like the forehead one. That said everything else is the closest Joker we've had.. he needs to wear the purple suit though.

is it a pink car or a purple car? i don't really see the problem. what's he supposed to be driving? or is the joker not supposed to drive? i'm sure if we combed over all the issues of batman and 'tec, we'd find at some point he was behind the wheel of a purple car that didn't have his face on it. i personally think the ride suits him perfectly and i loves it.

It's not Leto's fault the costume designers suck... hopefully the script and cinematography are good... it's easy to bash pics but I'll wait until we get an actual official clip/trailer

Unlike Luthor or even Bane, he's known for being outlandish...
As for a grill, not sure where you see that, I personally see crowns which kinda makes sense given his lifestyle and need to smile. I vaguely recall fake teeth in the 89 movie for some reason. As for a neon car, I recall similar in the cartoon and 60's show.

That being said, simply proving these things exist in the 'source' material shouldn't have any baring on if they are or are not good should they. I mean everything you are feeling now can some how been soothed if I just provided some evidence it's source accurate?
I would hope not.

i'd say it's the most accurate joker. nicholson was a slob, and if you think the perma-smile is part of every incarnation of the joker, you're wrong. ledger certainly wasn't like any comic joker that i can recall. not sure what you're talking about here.

Jack's smile was plasic surgery gone wrong, was too short and dumpy. Also he camped it up too much... Caeser Romero was closer than Nicholson,!

Or not, after all nothing is forcing me to see this movie. Im not saying I wont see this movie based solely off the look of the Joker, but I dont have to "get used to it" as you think I must. Plenty of other Joker incarnations I could choose from.

Nothing is part of every incarnation of anything. If you say "Joker" to any random person, they will most likely think of someone close to Jack's Joker. That's all I'm saying.

If you're talking about the overall performance, fair enough. In terms of looks, Jack beats Leto IMO.
