Are you talking about the Monkey King legend? That's bull. Goku was based off of a Chinese legend (wherein his name is pronounced "Wu Kon," btw), but that doesn't mean Goku gets to claim to be thousands of years old. By the same logic I could claim that Wonder Woman was based off of ancient Greek mythology so she predates western civilization.super saiyan x said:I'm talking about the orgin of dragonball z. A canadian brought up the idea of superman.

"The term "action figure" was first used by hasboro in 1964, to market their G.I. Joe figure to boys who wouldn't play with "dolls". G.I. Joe was initially a military-themed 11.5-inch action figure inspired by the TV series "The Lieutenant". The action figure featured changeable clothes, with various uniforms to suit different purposes. In a move that would create global popularity for this type of toy, Hasbro also licensed the product to companies in other markets." Wikepedia![]()

Toriyama-san designed the character and the world in the 80s, and that's how long the character has been around.

Batman was created in 1700 when the Dracula legend began
Superman was loosely based on Achilles (a godlike warrior with one weakness)
Shazam beats them all by being based on 6 mythical figures
DareDevil was based on Satan he is older than dirt
LMFAO

That's not an action figure. Just corrected your statement.
BrianWilly said:Are you saying that Superman was brought up by a Canadian?

It's a doll. As are action figures, which is just a term used by a homophobic society to make it seem acceptable for boys to play with.
actually myself, Anubis and Brian Willy already mentioned the monkey legend a page agosuper saiyan x said:Yes, I'm talking about the monkey boy legend lol. At the least someone in here knows. Superman was brought up by a canadian.
Anubis said:What the Journey West? DBZ is loosely based off the legend, but it's also loosely based off Superman.

Goku first appeared in 1984.
Superman first appeared in the 30s-40s.
Do the math.
